Buckingham Club — Hotel in Siesta Key

Sue and I have had extended visits at Buckingham Club over the past few years. We have always found the residents to be very friendly and treated us as though we were one of them. The park offers a heated pool, great location near Stickney Point Rd and S. Tamiami Trail just 2.4 miles from Siesta Key Beach. It is a 55 and older community of just over 100 affordable manufactured housing units.

Recently the park underwent a change in ownership. The new owner and his family held a meeting with the home owners. We were privileged to be allowed to attend. At that meeting the new owner outlined the many new upgrades to the property that would occur in the coming months. I thought he was honest and forthright in presenting information and answering questions. Through his action he has shown the residents he is a man of his word. Painting all common buildings, on site management available 24/7 and Improvements in the landscape in just a few months. He has hired outside scheduled pool maintenance, contracted for scheduled lawn care, and is in the process of upgrading perimeter fencing..

Had been driving thru this "Hidden Gem" for several years, looking for our future winter home from Upstate NY. While driving thru, again, the absolute perfect home had just gone on the market. Long story short, we purchased in April 2021, came back down in June to get home winter ready(🤣) and finally got here in October and have been loving it ever since! The managers of the park, Sandy & Mike Hanes are fantastic in every way. Mike (& Tom)keep the park in spotless condition & Sandy is so full of personality you just can't help but love her. The people we have met are so nice, plenty of activities, the pool is amazing, a great clubhouse for our social activities & a brand new bocce ball court. Oh, did I forget to mention that it's only about 3.5 miles to the #1 beach in America; Siesta Key. So giving Buckingham Club a 5- star rating just doesn't seem good enough, We'll give it a 10!! I'm a renter at the park. I came during the winter and everyone immediately made me feel like family! I love it here there are so many activities to do without having to leave this wonderful park. You can participate in one or all activities available: euchre, poker, bridge, game night, shuffleboard, corn hole, ladies luncheons, grill outs, club dinners, water volleyball, water aerobics, bowling etc.... Did I mention the wonderful heated pool! Nice place to swim, lounge or just meet with friends! Don't forget the clubhouse with a nice fireplace, kitchen, library, computer, and a couple of exercise equipment for anyones use.
