Hereās a review that will make you think , bought a car here everything went good traded in an old car I had sitting around and put down a down payment . Had my suspicions from other reviews I read but went ahead and did it thinking well worse that will happen is I have to replace a battery or something later on down the road. Man was I wrong . My whole rear ball joints and wheels were shot a week after driving it causing me to spin off the interstate when it was raining. Damn near rolled the car thankfully I could feel the wheels shaking and slowed down before that . Called them they took it in fixed it okay all good . WRONG it didnāt get fixed was On my way to work to sf it was snowing now didnāt think thereād be a problem because I just had my car fixed right . No I spun off the road going 20 mph this time nearly rolling down a 15 foot ditch . Got back on the road after shaking and praying to god that I was still alive and unharmed . Try to go faster then 15 my car starts fish tailing on the interstate not a exit in sight so u have to clinch my steering wheel going 10mph while people are flying past me and the snow is getting worse . I call my fiancĆ© to pick me up I can put my life at risk anymore he picks me up . As heās looking at my tires their bare completely balled and worn in specific spots . He looks at me and says your lucky to be sitting in that seat next to me , and not in the hospital. So they pick it up and say there going to fix it . Well now several months later ITS DOING THE SAME THING !!!! once again putting my life at risk and my children. I specifically told them I wanted this car for more space for my children. Do they care ? No . The better business bureau is appointing me a lawyer do to this being the 3 rd time my car has been in and they claimed to fix it . Selling a faulty car you say was inspected and everything works as should and signed it is illegal . Especially a car the has put my life in grave danger . Thanks wheel city for the ptsd and anxiety I have now every time I get in a vehicle and go over 20mph . You can think itās a little hiccup but I had 2 near death experiences in this vehicle and now have actual real PTSD driving at all . Iām begging people please just go to a credited dealership sometimes your life and families life depends on it . First time buying a used car...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery displeased with the services provided, or lack there of i should say. I had a strict, tight budget, as my credit history isn't the best. I was told wheel city was the place to go because they accept down payments as low as $99. I had a couple hundred dollars to spare so thought it was time to go get myself a vehicle as i currently do not have one of my own. Last Friday i went in after work and spoke to Michelle. She stated she received my application and it looked good, and i double checked that my down payment amount was enough to at least get me into a driveable vehicle; to which Michelle reassured it would be. That day they had a lot of vehicles purchased, so Michelle stated she would send me pictures of their new inventory they get in on Monday, and I could come pick my vehicle out first thing that morning. I ended up working Monday earlier than expected, so couldn't stop in, but i also never received those pictures. I called this location after work on Tuesday, to which the phone was very unprofessionally answered with just a "hello," i wasn't even sure i was calling Wheel City until i asked. The woman on the phone said she would leave a message for Michelle for me as she was busy. Wednesday, this morning, i wake up to a text message stating they were ready for me to come in and pick out a vehicle but with 3 times the amount down that I was able to afford. I asked why this wasn't communicated with me before I wasted my time as Michelle had stated previously that the amount I put in my application would indeed get me into a vehicle. No response to my text back. I am highly upset with how my situation was handled, and how i was basically promised a vehicle that i no longer will get as my price range apparently doesn't work for them and they chose to not communicate that with me in a professional manner. Do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEDITED BASED ON THEIR RESPONSE: I did extensive research on their vehicles on their lot. I never spoke to a female over the phone and ādrilled her with questionsā. I did speak to a male and asked him one question regarding mileage. But they did text me and called me by the wrong name in the text so Iām sure they are thinking of the wrong person here once again. Based on the three interactions Iāve had with them (and now their response on this review) I would never even consider going here for a vehicle.
PLEASE be careful here. They are predatory with their sales tactics. The vehicle I was looking at was priced over $5,000 above comps and market value. They will not come down on their prices and they help ārebuild creditā. I understand that not everyone has great credit and vehicles are a lifeline to get where we need to be, but if they lock you into a loan with poor credit, your interest rate is going to be high and if you decide a year or two from now that you donāt want that car anymore, good luck getting enough as a trade in to pay it off. When asked if certain things were done on the car I was met with āit was inspected but I donāt know exactly what was doneā. Excuse me, what?! You canāt tell me if the timing belt was done? You canāt tell me what the tires are sitting at? You canāt tell me if any of the brake pads or rotors have been replaced or are even in decent condition? Iām just supposed to trust you and cross my fingers that after your three day return period the thing doesnāt break down on the side of the road? They also donāt list any information about the actual vehicles themselves on their website which is a huge red flag. The people I talked to were nice enough which is why I gave two stars instead of one, but that doesnāt justify preying on people with poor credit. Be careful...
