Hi I want to tell every black woman if you are interested in pursuing a nursing career please do not attend here! I want to first address the racism in this school. They have an unreasonable policy that even staff there will say they disagree with, but the DON Debra Frick makes the policy not applicable to you if you are white! I've seen black women who were running late and maybe forgot their shoes or white shirt and was kicked out the program for not being in uniform and also seen white women not fully in uniform but was allowed to stay. I want to remind you majority of people are getting off from work and these are evening classes and sometimes mistakes do happen! Also, they have this rule where there are a total of 4 exams, and you need to pass 3 out of 4 to pass the semester with your average exam grade at 70% or higher. A white girl last semester had a 30% a 40% on her exam and is somehow in the next semester! If our exams are worth 70% of our grade as they claim just, how is she passing? Someone made exceptions for her! I was just kicked out the nursing program for starting my cycle and having to go home and shower and change at 5:50am (clinical started at 6:30am and I stay 35 minutes away from the clinical site so that is why I always arrive early to ensure I am on time). There is 3 weeks left in the semester and they talk about having consideration, compassion etc. but the DON Debra has NONE! I have the highest test scores all my teachers and classmates love me! But I was kicked out at the finish line for uncontrollable event of starting my cycle early in the morning. I have seen classes start with 20 something students and only 4-6 are left! My class now has 4 students left! So many black women have been kicked out for the pettiest things! It's big scam! They also try to convince you to keep coming so they can keep taking out your financial aid to the point you have none left and will be forced to pay out of pocket! I saw this happen to a student and she had to leave because she didn't have the money to pay out of pocket and yes this was yet another black woman! Below are some of my scores from exams and you will see I did very well, but this was not taken into consideration. They also tried to bring up that I had missed another clinical day, but they know I was in the hospital and why! I am not going to go into those details, but they were very serious! Please look away do not attend here as a black woman! This school charges double and do not want to see you succeed there! I will not let racism destroy my dreams! I just took an entrance exam for another college and passed my test without studying and I will be starting there next month! I will be back on here in a year uploading my nursing certification for all to see especially the DON Debra Frick who despised my intelligence and willingness to achieve my goals! She will not destroy these traits I have! It is God given! Wow 3 weeks left, and she talked to me as if I was the worst student ever and was doing a horrible job as a nursing student but look at my scores I attached...
Read moreUPDATE: The college wrongfully failed a decent amount of students because their nursing director and the instructor told us one thing about grades that they claim was not true. We have recordings and emails proving what we said and they still failed us and made us retake the class. The administrators failed us and they don’t even care. This school has affected our mental health greatly and as I said before DO NOT COME TO THIS SCHOOL. I have to raise awareness to stop other aspiring nurses from making the same mistake I did. My parents attended this college YEARS ago and said that they’ve always been this way. Take this as your warning to stay far far away.
I am currently entering my last semester in their nursing program and I DO NOT RECOMMEND. It is unfortunate that in this shortage of nursing, this college sets you up for failure as soon as you step in the door. When their professors are doing a poor job (specifically one that EVERYONE has complained about), they will ask you what you are doing and find a way to blame your struggle and failure on you, despite everyone stating the the professor is not a good teacher. The nursing director will constantly ask what you are doing and how you can fix the problem, but will ignore any constructive criticism you give about the professors. They have a few staff members, professors, and clinical instructors who are absolutely phenomenal, but the overall experience will crush your hope and make you feel as if you aren’t meant or built for the career you are working for. Not to mention, the financial aid is questionable. The school is overpriced and with the service they provide, it should be much cheaper. Last time I heard, the school was under review with the board, and I see why. I’ve been lucky to make it through without failing any of their courses, but trust me when I say many students do and because of that, they are failed out of the program and have credits that are extremely hard to transfer to other colleges and university. Whatever you do, DO NOT GO TO BRYANT...
Read moreStaff are dishonest and not equipped in the positions they fill. Overpriced for low quality. New teacher every semester. They removed me from the OT program for bringing up concerns of their new teacher using class time for something irrelevant and getting her ceu credits for her license, and asking us if we wanted to watch movies. Program director and Dean had no solutions yet deemed me unprofessional for voicing these concerns. Not for any other valid reason, other than they didn't like me speaking up, they lied and got weak people to follow them, it's amusing. Any issues they will hold your transcripts and have you in debt and its really not worth it. There are better options out there....
