It was okay, but thatâs all. Okay. Frankly, I was honestly pretty disappointed with the final product, as before tip it was about $120, and after tip, it was almost $150, and I wouldnât say I got a $120 experience, but at the same time, Iâm not going to not tip at least 20% in this climate. Though I made an appointment for elaborate nail art and then when I started talking to my tech, she said she does more abstract designs, not anything with too much detail, which would later become evident. I felt like I definitely overpaid after seeing the completed nails; I offered her probably a dozen photos for reference but said that ultimately, I just want it to look good and cohesive. I specifically referenced several nails that were also done at this location, but she then directed me to her instagram page, presumably to give me an idea on what she is more comfortable doing. However, I just feel like if youâre paying for elaborate nail art, maybe there should be a bit more consistency across the board with the talent that techs bring to the table. I told her exactly the essence I was going for prior to even sitting down, so I would have preferred her say that she wasnât comfortable with that level of nail art prior to starting if that were the case, because I know that after seeing othersâ work from this location, that what I was asking for was certainly within the realm of other techsâ abilities. Also, while the women at the front were very kind and doting, I felt like I was kind of disregarded not only by my own tech, but by another oneâ as she was bringing her client over to sit next to me, she asked if I could move my purse for her client to sit down, and of course, I said sure, just one second, as my nails were half painted, so I didnât want to get paint on my bag or mess up the nails, so I try to carefully grab it and put it over my seat without my nails making any contact with any surfaces, though it didnât make it, and ended up falling to the floor, which obviously wasnât where I was trying to have it, or else Iâd have sat it on the floor from the jump, but there were no hooks where I was sitting, as the hook next to me was ripped off and there wasnât any hook to the other side of me, since I was at a corner. So my entire bag fell to the ground with some items falling out, which, given itâs a brand new purse that I saved up months for, and that I have really been babying really sucked for me. Nobody asked if Iâd like help moving it or gave me an alternative option for where I could put it, and my nail tech already seemed kind of over the whole thing, so I didnât feel comfortable asking to go run and put it in my car, mid appointment. To a degree, I suppose I should have done more in-depth due diligence, but like I said, after seeing other peopleâs nail art turn out beautifully from here, I came in with blind confidence. Itâs not bad, per se, but itâs not what I was going for and I felt like it was up to me to pivot time and time again from what I was trying to have done. Like I said, great front desk experience, and beautiful place, but I left overwhelmed and honestly just overall pretty bummed and disheartened by some of the rest of the experienceâ the part that I was actually paying to...
Read moreI just want to remind everyone of their cancelation policy of which they will NOT remind you of when you call to book. Canceling within 24 hours, even due to illness such as Covid, will not excuse you of a FULL SERVICE charge AND 20% gratuity. I called to make my appointment so when the staff member rudely pointed out that the cancellation policy was on the website (if you dig), it seems obvious that I did not view the website considering I called and spoke to someone who did not mention the policy at all. I have been to paint in one other location a year ago, where again , I walked in to make an appointment and was not told about this policy. While I understand charging for a PORTION of the visit, a full charge service fee plus gratuity is an egregious abuse of any idea of a âstandard/normalâ cancellation policy. The staff member tried to justified âlooking out for their girlsâ who wouldnât be profiting from the services, which I understand and I had no problem covering the gratuity for the late notice, not a full service charge on top of that. However, Iâm not sure how they would profit from services had I gone to my appointment and maliciously given them Covid, causing them to miss days of work and 10s of appointments that total to much more than my services that day. Do better paint, and I suggest you find compassion at the expense of customers that just want to be informed...
