My honest opinion, the male who works nights is helpful and honest, the women who works mornings is unhappy and quick to inconvenience guests if it means less work for her. Multiple days the hot tub was out of order (I stayed 3 nights) I finally asked on day 2 (to the male) if the hot tub would be open tomorrow my last day, he said yes the PH was just off right now. Next day I come while they are trading shifts (both are present) and as i’m walking in the women says the hot tub is out of order. I ask why and she says very sorry the pool though is working but obviously cold. I say, I was told by the guy in the back it would be ok today is there a new issue? she seems confused and says it’s new years no one could come fix it etc. so I say fine but its the last day i’m here, I picked here cause of the hot tub, so I asked for compensation for the lack of tub, I explained ph is fixable within an hour or at the most a day so if the tub has an issue beyond that, I should have been informed day one, I probably would have canceled (free cancelations on my reservation) and gone next door or elsewhere with hot tub (we are snowboarders and this is essential to our stay), well one short phone call in a deferent language so I can’t tell you to who or what was said, and very quickly (so quick it’s impossible they actually tested it) the ph was suddenly ok and hot tub was open for use. I don’t understand the gain in pretending it was closed, nor telling me you checked the ph with no papers in hand and you were only gone long enough to grab the out of order sign. Realizing I should have been a karen the day I saw it was out of order since clearly that’s the only way to have access to the amenities I paid for, I couldn’t help but laugh and roll my eyes as she tried to explain the ph is miraculous right after just telling me no one was available or to come fix the tub today, meaning it was fine yesterday too since nothing has been done and no one has used it since then. I just bite my tongue and request a towel since there was none set out any time I checked the pool/hot tube today included. While there 5 people joined us in the tub. 5 people would have been disappointed by the lack of hot tub had I not asked them to compensate me for lack of hot tub, on new year’s eve no less. I just couldn’t help but look at each person and think, would they have just gone back to their hotel room disappointed? Would they have been taken advantage by the staff who again, idk what they gain by lying or restricting hot tub use but it’s clear that’s what was done. Hotel itself is mid, stains on ceilings, unfinished/broken/cracked fixtures/plaster in rooms, hallways, and pool room. Huge glass pieces in parking lot spaces that after 2 days was pushed to the curb but in 3 days never removed. Shower makes a awful noise (loud aggressive hissing/creaking) when using hot water, terribly small bathroom so you must stand touching the toilet to close the bathroom door. Will never stay at this location again, may even have ruined all super 8s for me. Will certainly be a last case scenario if I ever stay at one again. I just stayed at la quinta, Motel 6, and quality inn, no issues what so ever. I...
Read moreMe and my wife stayed at this hotel, for one night! As we were in the city for a concert. The location of the hotel is convenient and not bad at all. Although I set up a reservation for the room witch didn't have an issue there. The issues start when it comes to paying for the room! As we check in the room is 85$ after taxes for the night. Witch is pretty standard not a issue. BUT after we swipe our card to pay for room, after swiping card for the third time because they claim it wasn't working?, have no idea why it wouldn't and what the plan or issue was there, BUT after we get the room payed for the mention the 100$!!!! Security deposit! WITCH IS ABSURDLY large amount for the hotel stature overall, NOT TO MENTION, THEY WAIT TO SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTILL AFTER WEVE PAID FOR THE ROOM!! so we could say absolutely not and leave or just pay it!. It's just a Security deposit right! Me and my wife are responsible and not there to cause issues, just there to sleep! Honestly, as I said we were there in the city for a concert! And we ask for a receipt on the 100$!! Security deposit!, and they say we can get it tomorrow at check out. Witch is wierd to! Why not right then? We got charged right then! So after that we're on edge with the hotel and not taking chances!, as soon as we got to our room I immediately started recording to get a video document of the rooms cleanlyness and potential issues, and yes there was issues! Broken light switches, holes in the wall, id assume mold on the ceiling, stains on the curtains, dirty microwave! And I'm sure more! But not big deal, as we weren't going to be there, we were in the city for a concert! We go, come back, go to sleep. Next morning we eat breakfast then take nap, woke up packed and before leaving the room we took another video, of how the room was when we left it! for our protection, considering reflection on the 100$ Security deposit! We go down to lobby and made sure they knew we were checking out! Instead of just dropping keys in the box, so after ringing bell, a young woman come out, and said oh just drop key in box! No i want a receipt of stay and security deposit receipt. After she pretends to not know what im saying. eventually tries to get me a receipt, she pulls up our card and info, and then ask me to swipe my card again as we are checking out! NO! NO REASON FOR THAT! After some conversation we get the receipt! And then I tell her that I have videos of the room when we left it just barely, and I told her I have it for our protection, so we can't be blamed for things! Asked if she wanted to see it and told her everything that was wrong with the room! And then she denies anything was wrong with the room and ask to see the video of us leaving it! Ok I told her first I'll show you the one we took when we first arrived, after hearing me say that she stopped and didn't want to...
Read moreAfter a house fire, hotels have become our(my familys) specialty. I adore the Super 8 in Midvale, so when there was an availability conflict, we opted to stay in the Super 8 south Jordan. Bad decision all the way around. Forget about the usual complaints, such as the proximity to any restaurants, conveniences or attractions... This place is one of the worst on my lists... (lower than the Copervu Vu) The first night in our room, there was a cockroach on my bed, (I have never even seen a cockroach in Utah until now), the first full day, we got a call from the front desk asking if we were smoking in our room. The next morning, I woke up in excruciating pain, the box spring under my mattress was broken. The only smoker in my family was at work. Knowing that we were directly above the back door, I thought nothing of it.Then, wasn't able to get back to sleep because the motorcycle store next door was as loud as most airports. My husband has complex ptsd( from his brutal tour of duty), so he has 2 service dogs, we informed the staff before checking in, but on the second day, the front desk called to say we owed the pet deposit and fee. We politely informed them AGAIN that they were service animals and showed them our digital paperwork, even emailed them a copy. The man who I had assumed was the manager, was very nice about it, and said that it was fine and thanked me. That night, while heating up leftovers in the microwave provided by the hotel, we received yet another call, complaining about the smell of the food.... Uh, so we can't even use the microwave provided? It had been 4 days when we were finally approached by the housekeeping staff, and although they did not even ask us if we wanted the room cleaned, we were now being scolded for not letting them in to clean. We had to wake up my better half, (who had just worked 16 hours through the night) and took my service dogs outside. We told housekeeping that they could clean, but we were laughed at,.. An hour and a half later, we gave up and went back to the room. The next morning we were told that the room was reserved and we had to check out. We went online to reserve a room, and we were only then informed that we would not be able to stay. Their reasons: the smell of food, pets in the room. Given no warning, we started to pack up. We don't own a car, so we had to cart everything downstairs to place it on the grass. The staff complained about the time we were taking, (thought we weren't informed that we had to leave until 11am) and harassed us until ourselves and all of our possessions were sitting outside, on the side of the road. We had been quiet, we were not a problem in any way, and we gave them everything they asked of us. When we pay $70-$90, we should be able to get a little more basic...
