I want to share with you guys what I have been through at Club Pilates Sunset. I have been there for 6 months, going everyday of the week or at least 5 days per week, paying all my month and being a really good customer, actually I left them a pretty good reviews all over before. On July, 2021 I went on vacation and I asked them to freeze my month as their contract said, they told me no problem, and what was my surprise when I came back from my trip that they charge me the whole month without going to none class, I talked to them about it and they told me they have a policy that I have to write a letter 15 days ahead to freeze a month, they never said that to me either it is in their contract (so a total fraud) they never gave me that money back, even so I continue going and I switch 2 times in same week my schedule of class time ahead and they charge me $10 dollar fee extras for that, because I am not allow to do it through the app instead you should call them, but they never said that to me, either it is not in the contract (again another fraud to steal your money). But last and not least I continue going there and I went to one of my class at 10 am in the morning I arrived at 10:04 am and they told me they gave my place to someone else in the waiting list and I lost the class and they charge me $15 I honestly couldn't believe they did that What a brazenness! I decide to finally cancel my membership forever in that place that day and they told me they have a 30 days policy so they can not cancel my account unless I write a letter 30 days before to let them know that, again they were abusing and doing the impossible to steal my money again! I really don't recommend this place, they are dishonest and nasty there. Save yourself a bad moment and a bad time and look for another nice place or studio...
Read moreI have completed close to 340 classes since June 2019 (I barely attended classes for most of 2022 and 2023) and have a passport membership, so I can go to any CP in the country (for when I visit family outside of SoFla). I say this to say that I've been to several studios across several years, and I can honestly say that my time here this summer has been some of my best experiences in pilates. Keisha is so wonderful-- she is not only an instructor, she is a true teacher and makes all the difference from other studios.
I don't know what her background is, but her knowledge of anatomy, technique, and body awareness is outstanding. I had unexpected back surgery in December and returned to pilates in June. She knew exactly how to modify, where to place a body part or how far to go (or not go), what moves would help you specifically.... I took a class with her last night and initially thought some of the moves were silly. However, I quickly realized that this was a masterclass in MICROMOVEMENTS that were designed to strengthen the pelvic region, low back, wrists, and a specific part of the shoulders. I was WORKED... OUT when I left there and my little watch said I burned over 300 cal in 1 class!
There are level 1.5 classes that my friend and I had taken with other instructors, elsewhere, and when we got to her level 1 class, we felt like everything else was just a warm-up. Her focus on technique makes all the difference! And she says it, "Pilates doesn't get easier as time goes on, it gets harder because now you know how to do it correctly." I have always appreciated good technique above weight, resistance, reps; however, because of my back surgery, good technique is vital to my spinal recovery. Sarah, Marlene, and especially Keisha have been a blessing in my return to an...
Read moreEver since I learned that Pilates was originally developed to support people with physical limitations and injuries, I’ve been eager to try it at a legit studio, with a certified instructor who really knows their stuff. I broke my clavicle over two years ago, and heard that building strength and improving alignment through Pilates could help ease some of the lingering discomfort.
Club Pilates is known for having highly trained instructors, and I had the pleasure of being guided by Emily Brownlee. She was incredibly patient and attentive, consistently checking in on my form and cueing corrections when needed, especially during exercises like footwork on the Reformer and bridging series. I took the CP Reformer Flow class, which is designed for beginners. It introduces foundational movements and breathing techniques while activating the powerhouse (core), and working on stability, alignment, and flexibility across the full body.
Even though it’s a Level 1 class, I tried props like the Magic Circle or long box to push my strength a bit further. It’s a solid introduction, and definitely gave me the motivation to move up to the next level and explore more challenging formats, like Cardio Sculpt or Control classes.
Check-in was smooth thanks to the friendly front desk team, and the studio itself is spotless and well-organized. They offer plenty of Reformers and even have a private training room for one-on-one sessions if you’re looking for more personalized attention.
The space definitely has a “club” feel, modern, upbeat, and inviting, so the name couldn’t fit better. Looking forward to coming back and leveling up my...
