La Pizza 1789 — Restaurant in South Miami

This is the kind of edit I like to do on my reviews....

After not coming back here for a long time, we decided to give it another try and I'm glad to report the good updates.

Well, we now have table service, which to me was the big deal breaker. Having to stand in line every time you want to order something is not my idea of dinning out. In addition to this they have added some handcrafted beers and wines to the wine list.

Pizza here is still very good and offers Brooklyn style crust or Italian. (Different sizes).

Please note and take advantage of late dinning deals... after 9 PM almost everything was 50% off. Pizzas and salads at least. Drinks are also discounted after 9pm which I found, pleasantly surprised.

The outdoor sitting area is quite nice and kids find it appealing since they don't feel so restricted as they do inside.

The one thing that still needs improving is that they give you this nice plates and glasses... but they give you plastic forks and knives. I mean... they need to already have a dishwasher.... why not some silverware to match the rest. #maybeoneday.

Been driving by this place for months with the urge to try it as it seems that I can’t see a new pizza joint in Miami without trying it

I made the decision today to finally go and have lunch there.

I can honestly say I am literally happy that I finally made it over. From the start I was greeted very politely with a smile and was immediately explained he menu and the lunch special.

I ordered myself a Hawaiian pizza and I can safely and honestly say that La Pizza is now my favorite pizza in all of Miami and Broward. Without any question.

The dough was perfect! Tasted home made and fresh. Delicious cheese and fresh ingredients all the way through.

I ate every last bite. The place has a very nice pizza joint feel to it and they also offer ice cream for those who like a sweet craving after pizza.

I also noticed a kind of separated bar area which is neat. I am going to become a regular here, that goes without saying. I wanted to thank the manager personally today during my visit. Truly such an excellent experience.

Unfortunately, there is no negative rating otherwise I would have given -10. Please do not order from this place, they’ll try to exploit you in ways you can’t even imagine. I placed an online order for pasta Alfredo (chicken), the total was $14.58. However, to my surprise when the food was here, I saw an entirely different bill, the total was $21.48 instead of $14.58 . So, I immediately called the restaurant to find out why and again to my utter shock the lady gave me an absurd answer which I will never forget, she said because of the delivery fees and taxes my total came up to $21.48 , when it clearly shows on SLICE that there is no delivery fees. I reiterated the same several times that my total was $21.48 but she didn’t care to listen. I don’t know how in the world she ended up working in that restaurant. This was my first order from this place & trust me it will be my last. It doesn’t matter how good your food tastes when you fraud people.
