Sound Innovations — Local services in South Middleton Township

The owners here truly do care about the success of those who are installing and maintaining the Smart Sense, Ignition Interlock system. I think what most folks fail to realize is that the process within PENNDOT to gain approval for an Ignition Interlock License is extremely complicated, time consuming, and far from perfect. I read some of the 1 & 2 star reviews and wondered how the reviewers' experience at Sound Innovations compared to their experience at PENNDOT or with SmartStart directly. Of the three parties I've dealt with, Sound Innovations has been the most knowledgeable and most reliable. Additionally, the installer requirements are very rigorous and their liability is high. Also, the installers have very little to do with the quality of the interlock device itself, so when you have issues with power failure, calibration, etc., it is rarely the installer's fault. I applaud Sound Innovations for continuing to offer this service to the community. It's not a simple process for anyone involved and there is a lot of red tape. Do not read 1 star review! Hello, I don't normally write reviews but after reading the very slanderous and hateful review that can be I no way true I had to put my two cents in. Sound innovations is a great establishment! They do so much there! They also help by participating in the D.U.I. Interlock program and help save money for those of us that had/ have to go through it. Years ago they helped me with just that, always polite, nice, and courteous...that was 4 years ago.... So, last week I had some stereo problems and thought of only them! They got me an appointment, and gave me suggestions... They also remembered me from 4 years ago! Now that is what I call customer service! I should know, I was a bartender for 10 years! Great place! Great people! Great service! Thanks...

Had two cars completed with new amps, subs, and boxes. Bill’s wife is just terrible with people, good luck!

Stopped by a few months later for a fuse check on a different vehicle. (New fuse Box purchased from them 1 week before) Bill insisted I make an appt for a a two minute fuse check. Went to Steve’s automotive (highly recommend) and within minutes their tech stopped what they were doing and tested the fuse. Turns out the new fuse box purchased from them had a faulty fuse. Sub and amp worked in an instant with new fuse. I gave Sound Innovation a chance but once again, they could not be bothered by backing their own merchandise sales. Don’t understand how they’ve lasted this long as a business....
