Reading so many of these prior reviews that are negative based on price or items that are ordered online CANNOT be reflective of the ioncredible work of the staff here. They know their stuff and they know how to help you find and get what you need. If you have issue with the pricing, go to Wayfair - but you will not be nearly as satisfied. Pricing is typically reflective of the product you get. I have napkins that I bought over 10 years ago and use all the time - in perfect shape. I have bedding that is over 10-years old and laundered constantly and I love it as much as when it was bought. Great product doesn't always come with a low price point. The store has a great representation of what the company offers - bit unfortunately, PB should be in a FAR bigger space to allow for greater selection. The staff have always been gracious, courteous and helpful - a store wouldn't be able to retain staff for as long as many of them have been there if they didn't know how to do their jobs. As for complaints about shipping and transit - this is NOT the fault of the PB store - this is an issue with PB corporate and your complaints should be posted there to get better results. The poor staff at the store have NO control over when items ship or if there are issues in transit or with delivery - stop blaming them for matters over which they have absolutely no way of preventing. I praise the staff and the store. Retail is not easy, and especially in stores like PB where so much is based on visual and the hours and hours that their team take to make that store look incredible can be dismantled in seconds by looky-loo's who have no respect for the art of visual display. Step back for just a moment and think about all your negativity prior to making one of these slanderous posts - they work hard, and tey do their best each and every day. I'm sure you all had multiple positive transactions prior to 1 issue causing you to get into an uproar and make these posts. Think about how you would feel if the public could basically rip you apart with no consequence for doing your job - wouldn't feel so great would it? I think South Portland PB is great - keep up the amazing...
Read moreI'm always getting new ideas from Pottery Barn. The displays in the store are so inviting and the staff is always right there to make sure you are finding everything you need. My issue is with their credit card through Comenity Bank. I was asked in the store if I wanted to open a credit card account. The selling point was that I would accumulate points worth money for future Pottery Barn purchases. My only requirement was that it have auto-pay so I wouldn't have to worry about late fees. I was assured they did. This is not true. Yes you can pay on-line or by phone but Comenity Bank does not offer auto-pay which as I said, was my only condition before opening the account. Yes, I will keep the credit card but many not always use it. Especially if I know I am going to be away or overly busy and might forget to pay by the due date. This is the first bank I have run into that does not...
Read moreI ordered a dinning room table and got the delivery all scheduled. I took off work to be there for the delivery and it never showed. I checked the tracker and it says the delivery was cancelled. I was never even notified. I called to find out they forgot to put it on the truck and the soonest they could reschedule was a week later and I now have to take another day off work, and my table wont be here in time for a BBQ I was planning to host because the table was supposed to be here! Not to mention everything I have ordered from them over the past 2 years is backordered and taken months (6+ most of the time) to get here. Last time I order from pottery barn...
