Dented Brick Distillery — Local services in South Salt Lake

I'm loving all the local distilleries. We just happened to walk in at the right time to join up with another small group's prearranged tour. The assistant distiller gave it. Currently, there is only silver Rum. That will change. They appear to be better funded, or just deeper in debt, than some others. It's a nice large space, Three large stills including both pot and column. I saw another small one waiting to be put together in another area. They also are better set up for tastings and have a more organized tour than some. Perhaps the more formal setup is the reason they can use an educational license to have tastings without food. Nice. I purchased a bottle. At home I tasted the Sugarhouse silver against the Dented Brick blind. It was hard to pick a favorite. They each have different characteristics and are both excellent. Words are not enough to say how much fun I had on my tour! Karina was super friendly, very knowledgeable, and had me laughing most of the time!! The products are amazing! Honestly some of the best I’ve ever had!! Did you know about white whiskey? I didn’t, but they have some award winning high moon whiskey that I fell in love with!! Even invited a few of my friends, who walked out with some of their barrel aged vodka, which I must say is smooth as silk!!! This is an UPDATE:I wrote a review previously about an unfortunate mishap. HOWEVER, This company is an excellent example of taking accountability and making things right. Not only was the tour rescheduled according to our availability, but EVERYONE in the distillery went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I had a wonderful experience. Their spirits and stories were fantastic! There was a spirit that SPARKLED above the rest….but I’m not revealing anything! You have to go visit!
