While checking out this strip, my daughter and I ran into this store. I'm a sucker for Hello Kitty so when she caught my eye through the front door, I knew I was going to have fun here.
Walking in, I think the best way to describe this joint is chaotic. Chaotic in the sense that there's a ton of stuff shoved in a very small space. They have a little of everything here. It's quite.... interesting. You have trinkets, blind boxes, key chains and lingerie. The lingerie really threw me off honestly. It was the last thing I would expect from a store like this.
We did find a couple things in the store to take home with us when we had back to Idaho. There is a 10 dollar min unless you are paying cash. The cashier is there to do her job so don't expect too much customer service.
If you're looking for Sanrio type items than this is the joint to hit up. It is quite overwhelming trying to check everything out. As long as you're patient and is willing to take the time to check everything out than you should have fun for you! But for me, I did have fun looking at everything at first but the more I got into the store itself, it made me uncomfortable due to the...
Read moreWe were visiting from Colorado when we came across this store. My daughters discovered Labubus and were told they were authentic, so we purchased two. After doing some research, we found out they were actually fake—very convincing fakes, at that. They’re well made and closely resemble the real ones, even including a QR code that links to Pop Mart’s official authentication website.
However, the anti-counterfeit code had already been used, a code that had already been scanned months before I scanned it.
We spent $70 on these two Labubus, but the most disappointing part is that my daughters can’t keep them. Since they’re counterfeits, we have no idea what materials were used. Authentic Pop Mart products meet safety standards like ASTM or CE certification, which are required for toys in the U.S. and EU. These fakes, however, offer no such assurance—and we’re not willing to take that risk.
** Update: I appreciate the offer for a refund. However, we don’t live in Utah and are unable to return the...
Read moreWhen checking out Chinatown Market my eye caught Fun Store with its Anime filled windows. Two of my boys are huge fans so I stopped to see about finding them a few gifts to bring home. The door was locked and said it would open at 2pm. It was close so I went to shop in the market and would come back when done. Once outside I noticed they must’ve opened because there was now a table outside the door with clearanced items. The door was locked. What the heck? We waited a few moments and someone came out of the market, unlocked the door and let us inside. The store had so much stuff. While some really great things it was so over cluttered in a few areas I didn’t even want to try and pick anything up. They do offer many anime figurines, tons of hello kitty and some Disney. Some prices were a bit overpriced to me, but I was able to find quite a few items for myself as well as my boys . I am kicking myself for not taking pics, but too late now. If you love Anime it’s worth the stop...
