I recently had a loved one from Williamsport pass away and my girlfriend and I, both from TX, were the executors of his will and we had to travel up here and close out his affairs. The choices came down to TownePlace by Marriott and this Hampton by Hilton. Towneplace was slightly cheaper, yet it had kitchenettes, which the Hampton does not. (When I called to ask, the Hampton clerk said they did have rooms with kitchenettes, but I could not confirm that on the website, only "rooms with wetbars" and that is not the same thing, the clerk should be trained to know the difference.) I went to e-mail the Hampton manager to see if they could price match, but never got a reply. I booked the room anyway, the logic being that Hampton offers more breakfast than TownePlace justified the extra $10 a day, and also Hampton is right across the street from Wegman's and the TownePlace, while also close, was just that much further than we needed. Our fridge, however, did not have any freezer compartment, which I realized only after buying the ice cream. This was my one disappointment with this aspect of the choice.

Room was clean, mattresses were soft, pillows were like jelly; my girlfriend has a bad back, she would have preferred a firmer mattress and pillows. The "desk" chair that is put in the room was not suitable, it was too low and not enough back support. I asked the office if I take up one of the hardback breakfast area chairs and they agreeably made the accommodation. Some of the breakfast area seating has the same problem of being too soft. Also, the color scheme of the furniture was ugly: puke orange, puke green.

The window has what I think is a really effective two-tier blind arrangement by which you can regulate the amount of light coming into your room.

Bathroom was roomy, but the shampoo bottles were too hard to squeeze much more than one "serving" and the shower head is so high it diminishes the effect of the water pressure. And my girlfriend felt the "Angel Soft" toilet paper was like sandpaper, she bought her own roll by the second half of the stay.

When I went to print out our boarding pass the night before our departure, one business center computer was connected to a printer but had no mouse, and the other had a mouse but was not connected to a printer. However, the front desk had me e-mail them the pass and printed it out for me, so no problem - and that's how I found out what the real e-mail address of the hotel is.

I was surprised at the variety that was offered at breakfast and it was definitely worth the extra $10. There were little omelets stuffed with cheese, or with ham, or with veggies. One day sausage links, another sausage slices, another sausage patties. There were potatoes too, and at least three varieties of those as well. There was good coffee (dark and light roast), bagels, toast, a different variety of pastry each day, and a different variety of pastry on each day, oatmeal, waffles, and one day I saw boiled eggs. All these options were supported by a wide variety of condiments. Our final morning, I decided I was going to have a waffle. And I looked at the batter, and it was separated. There was an older woman tending the breakfast all the previous days and doing a great job at it. But that morning it was a young woman who had been working as a clerk several evenings who I guess got the temp job of covering the breakfast, and I think she was new to it, there were a lot of people down in the lobby, and she looked overcome. I didn't observe it get tended to, guests went and made waffles out of the separated mix.

The lobby (men's) bathroom was disgusting; every day I used it, and every day it smelled like vomit, despite a sign indicating it had just been mopped, a sign which remained there all five days.

I enjoyed my stay, I would stay again, I would recommend this place to others. It may have fallen short of being a "perfect" stay, but it really was one of the best hotel experiences I have had, and it was a good value...

This was booked for a college visit. The hotel was clean, neat, and orderly. The location was very convenient.

Upon arriving, I showed my ID, issued my room card, and used the card on file for charges. The front desk, lounge, and patio were clean, as was the elevator and halls. You could smell the cleaning agent, which I found pleasant and comforting.

The room was no different. Towls and beds were made, clean, and I saw no areas that were in need of repairs. The TV had our name and greeted us with a personal message. The room did have a fridge, not stocked with anything, ironing board and iron, laundry bags, soaps, conditioners, and other toiletries. The beds were comfortable as we're the pillows. There is a stand between the beds, but not at the end of the bed. My wife had the middle stand, so I had to set up the ironing board to use as a night stand on my side of the bed. The temperature was comfortable, and I did not notice it running.

We did visit the pool, which is open from 8am until 11pm. This was clean and neat as well. There is a hot tub next to the pool as well. The room does get loud due to the design. There were a few towels to use at the pool, so additional stocking is something to consider.

Vending and ice were located near the elevator. There was a business and/or open office area in the first floor. There was a patio to smoke or grill on near the front desk. I did see a small exercise room as well. There is also a sign that states they are dog and cat friendly.

In the morning, there was a breakfast served. There were a number of items to note including eggs with cheese and sausage, pork sausage links, roasted potatoes, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, juices, coffee, bagels, muffins, as well as paper plates, napkins, and plastic utensils. I did hear a guest ask for just regular scrambled eggs, and the staff seemed to be accomadating. The sitting area next to the lobby was busy and had limited seating. The staff did their best to keep up with keeping items stocked, but once again, there were a significant number of people all trying to get breakfast.

This location is near Lycoming College (5 min drive) and the Little League Hall of Fame (10-15 min). There is also a reptile zoo down the road a bit. There is a Wegmans, Perkins, Kohls, and other commercial buildings.

I was extremely satisfied with our stay of two adults and two children. I would definitely recommend and book again if I need to stay in...

I received a DoorDash order that was delivered to my room and I received a pic from the dasher verifying it was delivered at my hotel room door. When I came home from work my delivery was not in front of my door. I told the front desk gal what had happened and she was disrespectful and rude. My demeanor the entire conversation was very friendly and polite and I did not indicate that I thought it was stolen nor did I suggest any foul play whatsoever. I had a positive attitude. I simply asked her if she could look into it. At one point I even asked her to please just take a note for the morning staff and maybe they could look into it. She denied that idea and told me that “ there is no reason why they would not have told me about it” I said “ well maybe they simply forgot because they were busy at the time”. She said “ ummm yeah no”. As I was walking away I said. “Well thank you for looking after my Taco Bell” * Side note *- after I got back to my hotel room from work I ordered a taco bell delivery and she called my room to tell me it had arrived and she asked if I wanted it delivered up to my room and I said “ no ill come down and get it because I need to talk to you about something anyways” so I went down to get my Taco Bell and talk to her about the DoorDash incident. Anywho, Her response to me genuinely saying “ thank you for looking after my Taco Bell order” in hopes that she would be a little less unpleased about my inquiry was 🦗 ‘s nothing zilch. I felt like a total heal for thanking her for a mind list task as looking after my food for 5 minutes. She didn’t even have the self-awareness to pretend to look around the front desk area or check the back. Sadly I’ll never come back to this nice hotel solely because I never want to be treated with disrespect at a place that I pay money too and give true utmost respect for obliging my request to lay my head to sleep at...

The Hampton Inn in Williamsport, Pennsylvania was a cool stay. The suite itself was beautiful. I love love love having a big open space like that. Feels more like a home or an apartment than a hotel room. Plus it has a little kitchen?! That’s great. The bed was honestly more firm than I typically like; but I wanted to mention that cause I know some people adore that. It’s a perfect stay for anyone visiting the area; whether it’s just to chill or to be a part of the Little League World Series hype. This hotel is close to all of the downtown action, too. Just a walk away from plenty of restaurants & shops. It’s right next door to a Wegmans too!! Just in case you prefer to eat in, rather than out. Please let me know in the comments if you have stayed here before— or if you do end up giving this hotel a shot. You can learn more about this hotel or about booking from the link in this post.
