Front desk personal was a-MAZING: friendly welcoming nice especially the nice women working 7/4-5. She was so nice to all! ||Rooms were fine- no complaints. Room was big enough for a single size extra air mattress or rollaway for families with extra kids. ||Some other plusses: Good price. Great pool and had a nice bar restaurant area. Food was good and a great option when arriving vs fast food takeout. I had a great steak salad. And fantastic salmon salad next night. Drinks were on point. The guy bartender was awesome, friendly. There was a handy convenience store with candies, soda, ice cream, microwave friendly snacks, and various sundries . Parking was fine.||Areas for improvement:||Several in our party were put off by the brusque demeanor of one bartender and all the restaurant staff. They did not come across as customer friendly to some and some left as a result to eat elsewhere. Just seemed annoyed to be there. Also some extra charges were incurred on room bill that were not communicated when booking. Some in our room block had issues with weird random extra charges. ||Also, the stairways were frequented by many guests who did not want to use the elevator and the stairs were also access to the pool area. This created a huge fall hazard with wet floors at the base of the steps -and all of the above experienced high traffic. Despite signage, which was mostly in the elevator lobby, one person did take a fall as she stepped unaware onto the wet landing off the steps and if she were a less nimble person it could have been a serious injury because she instead was an athlete. You have to do something about this floor area/flooding potential due to pool use to mitigate this potential liability to your business. ||Would I stay again, though?...
Read moreThe joined restaurant is nice. Great food and service. Housekeeping does a fantastic job with cleaning up the rooms. It covers all the bases for me: Clean room, attentive staff, and has decent enough WiFi.
Notes: Walk-in showers with glass sliding doors. Soaps and conditioner are in full size bottles mounted inside the shower. No airplane bottles to fumble with. Nice wide counter for bathroom with lots of light Breakfast is comped in the adjoined restaurant, to-go coffee in the lobby elevator area Cable channels are a bit limited but you get 4K@60 quality for some channels (no Cartoon Network) Ice machines dispense crushed ice WiFi was clocked at 12 mbps down and 20 mbps up, not very fast but you can get work done (streaming quality is okay, maybe slow) Great selection for the small hotel convenience shop area, they also sell ice cream pints Room was spotless when I walked in, zero problems Friendly and helpful staff
It's a nice hotel to stay in. The restaurant was a nice dining experience for dinner and breakfast. Bartender makes a mean Moscow Mule.
10/10 I'd recommend for a business or personal trip for those who want a clean, comfortable room with a walk-in shower and not have to ration out the soaps in the room. I personally hate the bar soaps and tiny bottles of shampoo. The restaurant is super convenient and high quality; both in atmosphere and their...
Read moreI have stayed at this hotel before and have always had a great experience. This time it was during the Little League World Series so it was crowded with people and cars for parking. There was more noise than normal because of the excitement with the teams and pin trading. It was not a horrible experience, just noisier than usual. I did have a problem with the cleanliness of the shower and the staff couldn't have been nicer to resolve the problem. As for the tv issue, I stay at Holiday Inn's wherever I go throughout the US. This is the only one where there is no channel guide when you use the remote. There is usually a card with the channels but there was not one in the room. It would have been nice to end the night with a show I would have enjoyed without channel surfing for an hour between commercials and trying to figure out what was on, besides the sports and national news outlets. I called the front desk and that person seemed annoyed and didn't want to help. She sent someone up and he was very nice but he explained they got new tvs and are transitioning. Again, the hotel was packed and there were more important problems than the tv channels but it would be nice if this could finally be resolved since I stay here at least 4...
