Loteria Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Southington

We decided to visit this restaurant following the recommendations of food CT on their social networks.

We are pleased to say that the place was packed as soon as we arrived, but I always like to make reservations! This time we made a reservation for two and they said yes, but when we arrived they told us that they couldn't take reservations for two since all the tables were for more than 4. However, the person who served us sat us at the bar anyway, which was an excellent decision.

Food: everything was exquisite and above all fresh, just made 👍🏻 all the food has a unique flavor that we really liked. We ordered a main dish and a starter.:

•El Músico 32.99 Grilled chicken, skirt steak, and sautéed shrimp paired with rice and beans. (we changing the rice and beans for french fries)

•Guacamole 15.99 Fresh guacamole blended with onions, tomato, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice topped with pork belly

DRINKS: Exquisitely very good, the bartender named Joaquín served us very well, all the drinks he prepared for us were unique and very good.

I was told about Lotteria Mexican Restaurant in Southington. Being my birthday of all the Mexican Restaurants in town Yea!!.. I chose this quaint Family Mexican restaurant.

On entry you greeted with the best of smiles and courtesy.

The cleanliness was outstanding. Gosh the service by our waitress(exceptional)! Pre drinks.gosh, they don't cheat on alcohol. Bar tender knows his drinks.Actually we asked for second servings. The chips and the dip made of beans and special herbs.I could not have enough. Main course..The dishes was made with love and precise spices added, what a delight on tongue taste buds(culinary exceptional). After the hearty meals.A surprise Churros mini Birthday cake was bought to our table while they sang and made us felt festive. It was the highlight of the evening. The staff takes care of thier customers with care and warmth.. You don't see or feel a negative energy in the establishment ,but pure joy and happiness.

Am sure there is a wonderful story behind the name Lotteria. Parking is easy and lots of it. Catered to physically challenged individuals. I usually do not give Five stars. But deserving it.Is LOTTERIA MEXICAN RESTAURANT! Wil continue going there.Chosen the best! Keep up the good job staff of this establishment. A must try all.Prove me...

It’s got that authentic feel but still feels upscale. You can tell they care about the presentation and the vibe just as much as the food.

Now let’s talk about that burrito—straight up elite. Huge, stuffed to the max, and every single bite was loaded with flavor. Not dry, not bland—just real, seasoned, satisfying food. And the sides? Even the rice and beans were 🔥, which is rare. Nothing felt like an afterthought.

The staff was on point—attentive without hovering, super chill, and you can tell they’re proud of the place. That energy makes a difference. The place was clean, the service was smooth, and everything came out fast and hot.

Yes, it’s a little pricier than your average spot, but you’re not getting average food or service here. You’re paying for quality, consistency, and the fact that you’ll leave full and already thinking about what to get next time.
