Surprisingly, it was actually a decent meal. Typically, I'd consider this an old people's place... like the kind where it's decent, but your taste buds aren't as keen as they used to be, and the food usually matches that. The in-laws love this place and frequent flyers. Portions are definitely a good size. Most of us started w broccoli cheddar soup. Was thick and had good flavor. I had the rack of lamb special ( which I knew, typically not the place you order lamb, at least to be cooked correctly. I DID ask for it to be rare, which I'm thankful I did, since it came out medium; which I kind of expected. Had a really good flavor, though, and was still tender, so I didn't mind. Broccoli rabe was a little on salty side but quite yummy and very garlicky. Mashed potatoes were actually very good as well. Hubby got chicken provance special, which was tasty as well. Pasta ( angel hair) was a wee over cooked, but the sauce was tasty. Daughter fettuccine Alfredo was very good but slightly over salted. Other meals consisted of ravioli ( they weren't fans) of meat filling, which also tasted similar to the meatballs( bland and no body) that came w spaghetti..
Definitely decent place. No high bars set and not bad either, just average for decent food, portions, and prices. Good for a crowd. Everyone seemed happy and pleased w thier meals. Oh, also the rolls were good as well.
Also wish I remembered our servers name, she was super friendly. Young lady , very pleasant, was funny and played into our humor. She was efficient and on top of drinks and food service. Was definitely nice to have such a...
Read moreHave never been here before & was recommended by a Facebook group. Had my daughter’s baby shower here after visiting multiple venues in the area. Everything was good. When I arrived early to set up, my room was fully set with tables, linens, my napkin color of choice which is included with the booking, and all dinnerware. They also pre-dressed a dessert and games table. I like how the buffet table was not in the main room as it didn’t make overcrowding when the food line formed. The waitstaff was very friendly and efficient. They accommodate your decorations as well. The parking lot is large and the entrance to the building is warm and inviting. I chose the brunch menu with a few upgrades. My guests were all very pleased with the food. I did not have a single complaint from guests. The salad was fresh, the rolls were hot, then eggs were fluffy, whatever bacon they served my guests really enjoyed it, and so on. Only minor critiques I have but nothing even remotely concerning. 1: the brunch menu comes with a platter of assorted danish or pastries, those were ok. I think mini muffins and 1 danish flavor would have been a bit better. 2: the penne vodka was just a hair too al dente. However, it was very saucy which was nice. Usually at a buffet the pasta doesn’t have enough sauce and dries out quickly and this was not the case. Overall, for the price point, the friendless and great service, accessible location and set up of the room, and food quality, I would highly recommend the Manor Inn. All of my guests were happy, and the staff at manor inn made my day very easy to host. Thank...
Read moreWe just moved into the area and decided to go on an impromptu date and try this place out. The menu looked great. We started with arancini, which were great. It went downhill from there. The salad that came with the meal had one tomato, two olives, and two cucumbers. I know it's free with the meal, but maybe do two or three grape tomatoes at least? I got the chicken francaise and was disappointed. The coating visibly looked like french toast. Like burnt scrambled eggs. It seemed like they forgot to dredge it in flour and just cooked the egg dipped chicken. And it was served in a pool of liquidy lemon "sauce" that wasn't really sauce. It was a pool.
My husband got the stuffed shrimp. When they said Ritz cracker stuffing, we incorrectly assumed it'd be a seafood stuffing. Our mistake. It was $30, and he got 4 "jumbo" not very large shrimp. The stuffing ended up just being big smushed lumps of crushed Ritz mixed with butter. The shrimp were butterflied but were not peeled. No recipe and no restaurant I've been to leaves the shell on. Tail, yes. Shell, no. My side of veggies were served in a puddle of oil/butter/water, I'm not sure. His side of angel hair with garlic sauce also was in a pool of liquid. Our server was pleasant and tried. Apparently the server can only get club soda from the bar and the bartender never made my refill because they "got busy with a party."
We probably won't go back. We like Tuscany's food better. Their chicken francaise was awesome. We'll just keep searching for...
