Ordered a chandelier that needed extra chain and cord added to it. Was told it would take 2 weeks at most. After 4 weeks and having to call multiple times I picked up the finished product and the chain was the wrong color...
Brought it back and after speaking with the salesmen had to choose a different color chain that they had in stock as I did not want to wait weeks for them to get the chain I wanted. Two days later picked up the chandelier with a new chain....
Plugged in the chandelier and one of the bulbs does not light. Took it apart and discovered one of the hot wires was pulled out of the wire nut... I guess its SOP not to test fixtures after they modify them.
So in the end I'll leave you with this. If you want to go look at some light fixtures to get ideas connecticut lighting is a good place to look.
If want something that is in stock at the time of your visit and you can easily purchase and leave the same day, maybe.
If you have to order something or if you need something modified. Don't bother. Better off just ordering it online and doing the work yourself or going elsewhere.
P.S. if you order stuff for a customer and it's not available. Don't just keep their money and wait till it becomes available or till the customer calls you. CALL THE DAMN CUSTOMER FIRST. Be proactive and provide a...
Read moreWent to visit the showroom today and came across a chandelier that I really liked. However I wanted to get a print out of specifications or at least a link to the item on company web site so that I can easily pull up information when comparing them to the other chandeliers at other places. It took about 30 minutes for someone to attend to me, and when they did they were rude when I asked if someone could write down for me the brand and specifications. Rather than trying to pull up the model number on a computer, she said I should just take a picture even though the model number was impossible to read since it was so high up. She then tried to go to her computer to find it and when she couldn't find it on her computer, she just tried to read me (Didn't offer to write it down or verify on her computer it was there) back a serial number that was on the light and said when I go home I should be able to find it. Went home and tried to find on the website and had no luck finding it. Between questionable service and apparently not being able to keep track of inventory online, (had some nice ones) I am not going to buy a $500 chandelier without being able to do some...
Read moreWe were looking for antique/vintage lighting and the salesperson that approached us was not very helpful or pleasant to work with. She asked and I told her about the renovations we had done and continue to have done. She poo pooed that I was looking for brass because she thinks it's outdated and then she almost died when I said that the bathroom was just wallpapered. She actually said she thinks wallpaper is a thing of the past 🤣😂 Needless to say we ditched her lack of professionalism and taste and found a really nice man that showed us all the different vintage sconces and chandeliers 🤦♀️ in a smaller area of the store. He also mentioned that they have another store across the street from their Brainard Rd location Connecticut Restoration Lighting that has gorgeous vintage lights.. could the previous sales person have mentioned this to us an hour ago?? I'm not saying CT lighting is terrible or don't bother going there...it was just this one salesperson that shouldn't be in her position. Been to the Brainard location many times in the...
