I love Target. The one in Southington is very nice. The majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful, however there are plenty that are rather unpleasant and just rude. What prompted me for my 2 star review was my experience last night. I walked in 9:45pm. they close at 10. I needed a few things for crazy hair day. There were quite a few people in the store as well. One associate told me the store was closing in 10 minutes in a friendly manner, I hurried through and made my way to check out within that time. At check out, my cashier was friendly, but there was another associate who was loudly and blatantly complaining about how many people were in the store shopping at closing time. Said if it were up to him they'd close the doors at 9:50 and so on and so on, just flat out complaining FOR ALL THE PAYING CUSTOMERS TO HEAR. I thought that was beyond rude and unprofessional of a store employee to make guests feel unwelcome during business hours, regardless that the store was about to close. As a former waitres, I served guests past close, it comes with the territory. It's not fun to stay later than anticipated, but I don't see the need to openly complain about your stores guests right at the front of the check out lines for said guests to hear it. Might make them take their business to another...
Read moreAfter making countless phone calls to multiple pharmacies for over 3 hours trying to find my newborn daughter’s formula in stock, the CVS within Target was able to provide me with the formula we needed.
Of course this made my day, but when I called ahead of time to confirm, I spoke with an associate named “Lynn” who not only retrieved the information super quick, but also didn’t seem to mind when my provided her with the details of the nightmare I endured that morning. She was super sweet, understanding, she assured me she would have what I needed ready immediately and I could come to the store at that moment if I would like.
When I had arrived it was not even 2 minutes before the staff was closing down to take their lunch. Despite feeling terrible about this, all 3 workers (I wasn’t able to get the names of the other 2) were more than happy to take a few extra minutes to check me out before taking their lunch. Moral of the story. CVS as a whole isn’t my favorite pharmacy, but this location may have changed my mind. And again, Lynn 100% turned a horrible morning into a way better afternoon. I definitely recommend this location and...
Read moreI’ve been going to this location since 2019 and it’s by far one of my favorite target locations; however, my shopping experience has been going down hill. Firstly, whenever I shop, I’m harassed by cell phone carrier gentleman. I get they’re trying to make a sale, but it’s been recurring in every visit and it gets so tedious. Just let me be and browse—they’re not even part of Target I believe. Secondly, the loss prevention lady made herself too obvious around the isles going in and out of the back eavesdropping on my conversation. I get they’re doing their due diligence, but it becomes way too obvious and uncomfortable. The inventory and product are really good at this location, however the morale and shopping experience have dropped...
