Sorry 110, you lost my stars and patronage. Consistency is very important! Especially with the prices you charge. Sadly, the last three times we visited were not good experiences. The final straw was a night that was very important to us. We were planning on celebrating a family milestone and decided to sit for dinner instead of going to the bar now that I can’t drink! As a first-time expecting mom I was so hungry after an appointment so we went in, got seated then NO ONE else came to our table side. I was completely shocked. The last time that happened was at Chips.. in the same plaza…which is no longer in business! Two others got seated after us, and one of the tables seated after us got served before we even got water! I cried a little bit that night because of that very stupid thing and It ruined our night. Unbelievable!!! also it wasn’t particularly busy either. Like I said, consistency matters. Closed my wallet on this place for good.
1/12 @6PM - First time at 110 Grill and I was beyond satisfied with our service and meals. We grabbed a seat at the bar and the bartender immediately serviced us. She was amazing. I regret not remembering her name!!! She didn’t take notes, was fast, and the first question was “any allergies?”and I honestly looked at my husband and my jaw dropped. I have a serious soy allergy and the fact that she not only asked, remembered and with the manager bringing out the food and pointing out the allergy meal and the lil stick!? I was beyond ecstatic. (This never happens and I feel like a lot of places don’t even care) My husband was so happy that I was happy because I hate asking & modifying, AND i’ve been lied to in the past by wait staff in restaurants. So i’d rather just get something basic I know wont come back to haunt me in an hour. The food was amazing, fresh, perfectly portioned, hot and tasty! I Highly recommend the firecracker shrimp appetizer. It is spicy, crispy, and just so delicious. The slaw is a 10 as well! I also tried the veggie pesto pasta, and my hubs got the steak & cheese. Next time I will ask for a more al dente pasta but I was happy with my meal. My husband’s meal didn’t come with the mayo he requested. Before he even noticed the bartender did and went to get it immediately. We will be back, and honestly we can’t wait...
Read moreMy husband and I are regulars at this location. We decided to go in for dinner tonight, 11/2/2024. The place was extremely busy, so we sat at the bar instead of waiting almost 90 minutes for a table. The bar tender, Andrea, who was also our server, was beyond busy. Very apologetic and kind. She literally was doing the work of at least 3 people. Making 95% of the drinks for not only those at the bar, but for the entire restaurant. She was also the server for the bar and the area just off the bar towards the back . All tables full. There was another bar tender on with Andrea. She had long blonde hair with glasses. Sadly, she was not much of a help for Andrea. She walked around looking busy and occasionally poured wine but nothing more than wine. We were there for 2 hours, yet this was what seemed to stay constant. Another note, a man, wearing a white button down and black slacks , whom I assume is the manager, wasn't helping either. He stood by the kitchen or the entire 2 hours we were there. Twice he came by to " run" a person's food. That was the extent of his helping. I asked Andrea how long she had been there today. She replied since 10am but 3 people called out. The manager should have called servers to see if they wanted an extra shift(most would jump on an extra shift especially this time of year and on a Friday). At the very least, he should have been mixing drinks, taking dinner orders.. anything to help Andrea. As busy as she was, she was pleasant and tried her very best to get to all her orders in a timely manner. As far as the bar tender with the blonde hair, she should be ashamed of herself for not stepping up and doing at least 1/4 of the work Andrea was doing. Instead, she moved about at a snails pace pretending to be busy. Andrea is definitely a HUGE asset to this establishment and should be recognized for her excellent service, capabilities of serving as well as bartending. She really is amazing! Thank you Andrea for being you! Sincerely, Lyneen...
Read more110 Grill…. FOOD ALLERGIC BEWARE Have been going to the one in Southington Ct for a year now with my food allergic children. It had been such a treat to go out as a family without worry. They always handed my sons and daughters multiple food allergies with care and concern and in always felt safe with them… until tonight. We often go on Saturday nights. We almost always have the same sever (Jordan she’s the best!). When we came tonight it was very very busy. We waited for quite a while for our table and even longer for our food. Our favorite server wasn’t able to take us. She’s phenomenal with remembering our kids and their allergies. We have the FARE allergy card in English and Spanish and they always take it and seem to appreciate it. We always get their onion straws. My kids devour them. My seafood allergic child wasn’t with us today. My sons never eaten seafood but has tested negative to a variety of items. Given his rather extensive allergy list and my daughter’s seafood allergies we don’t feed him seafood either. As we’re enjoying eating the onion straws and playing hangman with the kids I bite into something that’s not an onion ring… it takes me a minute but it’s calamari! I spit a piece out and flip through the rest of the batch and find two more rings of calamari. I was in shock. My son stoped eating it and of course was scared and wanted to leave. He instantly lost trust in them and I understand why. The manager apologized many times, gave a generous credit on our bill…made sure we were all safe and said he’d investigate why that happened . (We didn’t ever get an explanation). If my daughter was there this story would have been ending with Epi pen and a trip to the emergency room. We have been many, many, times and this is the first incident that happened. But wanted to share the information for any seafood allergic patrons...
