It's been about a month since I've eaten at the place. Two times I came over all the way to the area, they were out of practically everything. Today I managed to take my mother and father over and they happen to have exactly what we ordered previously. Given my mother never been here with us, and listened to numerous compliments from my father she had certain expectations. To say the least...
The quality and passion is not there anymore.
The cutlet I ordered, previously the size of 3/4 of the plate loaded with mushrooms was now barely half of the size in both width and height. Potatoes and gravy were plain and had literally no flavor to them.
The fish, previously extremely fresh and fried on the pan was now deep fried in oil like it was McDonald's or something. To make it even worse, it had no flavor since they've used close to no salt to season it prior. To say the least the salt shaker was on full rotation.
Both my parents were very disappointed. Especially my father after boasting about his previous visit.
The place has been open for a little over 2 months and already they've gone from passionate and great plates to Broad st quality of grab and go.
Don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon.

I've eaten in practically every Polish restaurant around central Connecticut. A lot of New Britain ones are good, but this place is on a whole new level. Food is simply delicious. Fish was out of this world. Cutlet was loaded with fresh mushrooms and cheese. My personal thanks to the cook. I haven't had food this good...
Read moreLoved this place! We tried the kielbasa sandwich which was huge and delicious. It was served on a big hoagie roll with kraut, mustard and mayo that was really good. The potato pancakes are just like grandma made. They are thin and about 6 inches round with the most perfect crunchy edges and flavored to perfection. Of course no visit can be complete without some beautiful golden brown perogies. They have several flavors to chose from and we tried the potato and cheese that were fantastic. The place is decorated very nice and even though we took it to go we would feel totally comfortable eating inside. The fella behind the counter was super friendly and answered any questions and helped us out deciding. They offer family meals also so you can call ahead and have dinner for your family ready when you get there to just grab and pay. Next time we will try the perogie nachos! Fantastic! UPDATE 6/30/2023: Still unbelievably awesome! They have new dishes to try. Usually we get the polish boy, great sandwich of kielbasa, kraut, bacon, onions, mustard, and mayo, but we noticed a breakfast sandwich called the kielbasa scrambled. This is fantastic. Great for dinner!! Soft bun, eggs your way, melted cheese, and comes with 2 mini Potatoe pancakes. Of course we still had to get stuff cabbage and Potatoe and cheese perogies. We are stuffed and very happy!! Good customer service, and clean also. This is a must try! Check out the menu. They are always coming up with new and creative ways to modernize polish food like the...
Read moreStopped in for take-out after a very long cold working day. I ordered 6 sauted pierogis. I asked the kid taking the order What was in the cucumber salad. His answer was I don't know and pulled one from the cooler. I asked that I could see the dill but what else was in it. Again his answer was I didn't know. So I told him if I couldn't find out what was in it, I didn't want it. He seemed irritated but put it back. My husband ordered the taste of Poland plate. We paid for our order and got the receipt stamped 6:09. We sat and waited and waited. We saw many people come in and go after us. Finally at 6:45 we asked what was going on with our small order. We were then told they ran out of 2 of the pierogis and they were making them. We asked how much longer and were told 5 minutes. We should have been told they were out of whatever they were out of and we would have ordered from the choices that were available when we got to the restaurant. Regardless, Finally at 6:50 we got our food. Went to our hotel to find no condiments, napkins or utensils. We weren't asked if we wanted ir needed any. The Taste of Poland platter was missing the stew. All the food was bland as well as the pierogis. Don't get the strawberry pierogis. So bad I took one bite and threw them away. Besides the fact they were not sauted as we requested. Horrible service and horrible food. When in this area again, we definitely will...
