When we arrived shortly after 11 on opening day, a winding line of eager visitors stretched outside, each person patiently waiting for their first glimpse of The Enchanted Violet. Inside, the bookstore was beautifully curated, with shelves brimming with diverse stories across a variety of genres. Despite the high demand, we still found a few titles that caught our eye as we browsed the well-loved shelves to the left. The space was alive with vibrant art from multiple artists, each piece perfectly complementing the store’s enchanting atmosphere. After selecting a few books and pieces of artwork to bring home, we joined the checkout line. The energy in the shop was nothing short of electric. Friends of the owner, Opal, moved through the crowd, happily answering questions and helping to manage the flow of excited patrons. At the register, Opal personally rang up each customer with a warm greeting and heartfelt gratitude for their support. The grand opening of The Enchanted Violet was more than just the launch of a bookstore, it was a testament to Opal’s vision and resilience. With plans for community events on the horizon, I can’t wait to see what’s next for this incredible space. (Updated...

I was greeted by the owner when I came in, but she gave me space while I shopped (which is a big thing for me), and answered all the questions I had while I was there.
I really liked their zodiac themed table that had recommendations based on your sun sign. I ended up finding a new series that I really liked (and haven't even heard of). I also picked up a physical copy of The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton which I've been meaning to do.
I also appreciate the dimmer lighting throughout the store. I'm very sensitive to light and get migraines, so I'm very happy that I was able to shop for books comfortably.
I will definitely be back and will be recommending The Enchanted Violet...

I was not let down by how much thought and love was put into every aspect of the store, from the decor to the stamp with the name of the store they offered to put on the title page of my books I had just bought! I look forward to going back on a day where I can spend a bit more time looking everything over as the grand opening was busier than I think anyone anticipated. I was a bit worried that it would focus too much on selling trinkets over having a good selection of books, but I think they’ve found the right balance of well-stocked bookshelves and a great collection of beautiful, relevant (and surprisingly affordable!) art from small businesses. Definitely worth the trip whether you’re in the area or a little...
