If you're looking for a legit sushi spot I'm here to tell you this is going to be it. They do absolutely everything right. The wait staff speaks good English (no im not racist.. customer service suffers with language barriers). The lineup of sushi rolls is original and full of genius-level combinations. MASAGO 35 has a very Omakase feel and many menu items have "Chef selection" has one of the ingredients. Also, it's a great little spot on Main Street in Southington. (i've gone as a party of 2 and a party of 8) There are several less commonly seen items on their menu including Toro, Kani, bone broth ramem bowls and at least 4 flavors of mochi. this IS THE BEST SAKE menu at a Japanese sushi restaurant I've ever seen.. there's about 10 cold sake options alone. The menu also has a line graph next to each brand showing you: Sweet-----------Dry Light bodied-----------Full bodied
I noticed a variety of food the menu. (Useful if you have special dietary needs or a young child or not a raw fish connoisseur. 10/10 but don't take my word for it.
THE PLACE IS A HIT!
(P.s. try the French Cake Roll......
Read moreNew Year...New Weight gain. This spot was a very random ting I seem on yelp and decided to test it out due to all the good reviews. As you can see 5 stars BUT do yourself the favor and do not eat here in the winter your chest chips will freeze to your shirt and your skin will get freezer burn. It felt like i was sitting inside of the freezer. ANYWHO speaking of freezer. This spot must be fishing and serving as they go from how fresh and scrumptious the fish was. The sushi was so perfect and fresh there was seriously no words for it. I spent about $100 on dinner here and I telly a what. I'd do it again. The staff is honestly the sweetest people ever, very humorous and fun. They gave me and my honey a scoop of green tea ice cream on the house. I love green tea ice cream. LOL I WILL be back. 5 thumbs up! Great presentation and sushi...
Read moreWonderful little spot to get your sushi fix. Today I tried the "Sushi Sandwich" and it was delicious: sweet, salty and a hint of spiciness. Its a sweet potato fritter topped with avocado, spicy salmon, mango, sesame seeds and I believe it has spicy mayo and eel sauce.
Their boke bowl had vert generous portions of proteins and toppings. Great option if you want to keep it low carb. I ordered it with a lettuce base (instead of rice), salmon and pork belly. The salmon was so fresh, melt in your mouth. And the pork belly was so tender, fatty and well seasoned. In case you'd like to try the poke bowl, its generally a a cold dish (except any cooked meats / seafood).
One thing though this place is on the colder side at least now in the winter season, so make sure you are bundled up and expect to keep your jacket on...
