I visited the Southington Coffee House during the annual Apple Harvest Festival in Southington. The interior is inviting and the offering is on par with high-end coffee shops in the area. The pastries are not made on site, but rather sourced from known quality suppliers (the donuts are from Harvest Bakery in Bristol, which are exceptional). I didn't see an option for an Iced Dirty Chai, but asked if they'd be willing to make it and did so without even thinking twice. Considering I asked for an off-menu item near the end of the standard hours of operations, I was anticipating getting another item, but they enthusiastically agreed to make it, and it was fantastic. I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area. The interior was inviting and well thought out. I didn't order ahead, but they had a separate pickup area for that which likely makes quick visits a breeze. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

This place is so cute! The food was yummy and the staff was so helpful. I originally was a bit indecisive but the woman serving me gave some great recommendations. I ordered the pistachio latte and a crepe with turkey, mozzarella, sundried tomato and basil with a balsamic vinaigrette glaze. The latte had just the right amount of flavoring, I could taste the pistachio but it wasn't overpowering, it was creamy and delicious. The crepe has a great balance of flavors as well. There are sweet crepes as well if that's more to your taste and a nice selection of pastries. The atmosphere is calm and cozy and there is lots of light coming in from front the windows which makes it feel cheery and bright. I will definitely be back!

Nice place in a very nice neighborhood. They have nice tea flavors of "Harney & sons" it is one of the best tea company in U.S.:)) Also I had a nice blueberry scone. The only thing that the place was very dirty. It was Sunday afternoon the seats and floors were in huge amount of bread crumbs. I clean the seats for myself but the floor asked young lady to do and she did, although moping where my tea and scone is not the best idea especially when your mop is so dirty. keeping dirty table cloth right by the milk, sugar and clean napkins not good. Anyway the owner would do a great favor to the place if he makes sure that the surrounding is clean. I think I will give it another chance for the next time

This review is only for their iced tea. As someone who does not drink coffee, I am always shocked how difficult it is to find a decent iced black tea and I hope this review helps a fellow tea lover. I really wanted to like the Southington coffee house because it is cute and the workers were nice. However, my entire experience was chaotic.

They clearly are understaffed and are training someone new who was struggling to make and deliver orders to customers. I watched the employee hand the wrong crepe to a table and after that cut into it and returned it to them, they tried to give it to the person that actually ordered it instead of making them a new one.

I asked for an iced black tea but the only one they had in the fridge was from June 1st. So instead I opted for the iced peach green. The first red flag was that the person working said they just ordered it and had delivered. So they clearly do not brew their own tea. Then I didn't realize you get charged an extra dollar for the peach in the peach green tea and that they added peach syrup. In the end, the drink tasted like sugar water. No actual taste of tea and was a waste of $5.

Again, I can’t speak to their food or coffee but I would not...

The place is very cutenand front end staff was very friendly and helpful. We h as ve never been here before , so, I ordered hot coffee with lavender / rose flavoring ..yuck!! The cashier came to check on us and asked me how everything was. I told her I didn't think I made a wise choice , that I realize now I should have ordered tea with that particular flavoring. She nicely offered a swap out to tea from the coffee and it made the experience awesome. It was quite delicious, as was the scone I had my hubby had the breakfast sandwich. Under 20 with tip. A bit expensive for the amount of food, BUT both were delicious !! A great change from eating in !! When you walk in it seems like a tight fit, but the room off if the...
