Very disappointed in the lack of customer service and the poor quality of the items that they offer here. We purchased $10,000 in furniture from this store and one year and one month later we have a sectional that has come apart at the seam and a side table that has veneer peeling at the corner. The sofa we purchased a protection plan on because sofas naturally encounter a lot more possibilities for damage (although this part of our sectional is a part we do not even use where the seam ripped). Tables we expect to have normal wear and tear, so did not do a protection plan, but this is a clear defect. We noticed the problem two weeks ago and found out that the table is just one month outside of the warranty period. Had I called at the time it would have been just 17 days out of the warranty period. However, with the holidays I had been too busy to call. I was informed that I could pay $100 for one of their people to come out and LOOK at the damage and assess it. I would understand if I were months out of the warranty period, but being this close is really unbelievable. They responded that they simply cannot do anything because we didn't purchase the protection plan. I was amazed at how poor the quality is that of the three pieces we purchased two have defective components that require us to get repairs in just over 1 year. Due to the poor customer service, we will not be purchasing from them again. I would caution anyone from considering Havertys based on the poor worksmanship of their products and the very disappointing...
Read moreWe have been trying to find furniture that felt like us, after losing everything to a house fire this summer. When I walked into Haverty’s it was late and our 4th furniture store that day. Our girls fell asleep in the car and my husband waited with them while I went inside to see if it was another bust. When I walked it it was welcoming and beautifully displayed! Vinni came right up and asked what I was looking for and took me straight to a dining room table she thought I would be interested in. I fell in love with it!! Then, Vinni brought over Jackie the designer to help me decide on what chairs would work best. Both Vinni and Jackie were so helpful at the Southlake store! They moved furniture around with me and brought in rug samples and I felt like they really wanted to help me figure it all out! This has been such an emotional process and I think my Mom said it best when she said I was smiling and so happy when I FaceTimed her. She said my happiness was showing! I can’t THANK Vinni and Jackie enough for being so patient, kind and helpful! I appreciate...
Read moreMy husband and I went in on Saturday to look for an entryway table and a table for our laundry room. After speaking to one of the sales associates (Linda), and explaining what we were looking for, we were left to browse the store which was perfectly fine. However, when we got back up to the front and explained that we couldn't find a table we liked that would match the wood we currently have in the house she proceeded to tell us that "in the real world" not everything has to match and from a design standpoint that doesn't look good. My husband and I will be 25 this year, he just got out of the Marine Corps last summer and we just bought a brand new house in Northlake, so I don't know what her definition of the "real world'' is but I'm pretty sure we've been living in it. We came in to find some tables, not to be discriminated against because we're a 'younger couple' or we look like we don't...
