Sunstone Fitness is my happy place. Each instructor has a very special place in my heart as they have each given me their encouragement and support. If it werenāt for Sunstone and these exceptional humans, I would not have had a way to rehab my body after several surgeries. They will welcome you warmly by name each and every time you come in to the warm (it is hot yoga!) and quaint piece of heaven many of us feel so at home in. The facility is always clean. The atmosphere is perfect if you feel comfortable surrounded by friends that you will get to know with your practice. If you have any hesitation about practicing let them know. Everyone is welcome here. All levels of practice are catered to, whether you are looking for a great workout or a gentle recovery session, everything you need is here. Everything is provided for you. All you bring is yourself and some water. Even after 500 classes, which are celebrated with wristbands for every milestone, I am never bored with my practice. I learn something each time as each instructor has a special trick to share and a unique style that keeps it fresh. Come fall in love with everyone here and bring a friend. This is the best spot in all of north Texas. I treasure these friends greatly, you will too. Come on in, the temperature...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs someone who practices hot/advanced power flow 5x/wk with a bodybuilding and military background, I fully understand associated risks, importance of hydration, etc. I experienced heat exhaustion following my first hot flow class, something I'd never experienced before. I'm not blaming the studio (I signed the waiver), however: -Some water leakage issues inside the studio, causing a bad smell -Way too many students in a small space (in my opinion) -Studio is carpeted with bright fluorescent lighting, doesn't appear to be built with intent for hot yoga use/poor ventilation -Temp is 98.6/60% humidity ("hardcore" classes reach 105, but don't normally exceed 40% humidity) -Practice is very fast-paced with no breath work or guided warm-up/cool-down -There's a sign on the door indicating you can't exit the studio once you enter -I was told to avoid advanced poses that could cause injury, but never told I had the option to exit the studio to cool down. My doctor informed me that it wasn't temp, rather the high humidity that caused heat exhaustion. Unfortunately, I'm out a $500 hospital fee. Be very careful considering a hot class before exploring the studio...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI absolutely adore this place and cannot praise it enough! The instructors are exceptionally talented and passionate about their work, and the classes they offer - ranging from calming yoga to energizing pilates and intense HIIT workouts - are some of the most exhilarating and rewarding experiences I have ever had. However, what truly sets this place apart from others is not just the top-notch quality of the classes, but also the incredible sense of community it fosters. I have made countless friends here and feel like I am part of a truly special and unique group. Every time I walk through the doors, I am greeted by a peaceful and joyful atmosphere that is hard to put into words. It has become my go-to destination, a sanctuary where I can not only exercise and improve myself but also connect with like-minded individuals who share my passions and interests. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for having discovered this...
