I stopped by here with my wife today. While we were shopping I needed to use the rest room. There was a worker near the rest rooms (middle aged woman of possible Asian descent). She was looking at items on a shelf, so I waited for her to acknowledge me. She turned and stared at me without saying anything, so I believed she was listening to something on her headset. I motioned for her that I needed her to open the restroom door. She continued to stare blankly at me…. I motioned again with no response from her. Finally I asked “could you open the restroom door”. The only thing she said to me after that was “please?”. I told her I thought she was listening to something on her headset and that’s why i wasn’t talking. She walked over unlocked the door. I said “thank you” and she walked away without saying anything at all. This is really poor social ethics. I waited politely to be acknowledged, which I wasn’t. I Tried to be courteous when she didn’t say anything, and then I was corrected on what I said!? I am 38 years old and I have never left a review before, but this type of customer service is very unacceptable. My family...
Read moreI love this chain, and was excited to have moved closer to a world market. I went today and bought new curtians and would not recommend this location. I was checking out, my toddlers were distracting me, and I paid with cash. My cashier forgot to give me back my change, which was 50 dollars and 18 cents, a significant amount. I didn't realize it until we were back in the car 5 minutes down the road. So I turned back around, got everyone out of car seats again and went on through the rain to ask about my change. They treated me like I was lying, so I asked them to balance their register while I waited with my, now even more grumpy, kids. The whole time I was waiting they treated me like I was trying to scam them. When they came back 10 minutes later with my change $50.18 from the excess of their register there was no apology or show of regret from any employees. I think it was an honest mistake for her to forget, but the response was handled very poorly by her and...
Read moreLove this store! Such cute things inside. I have been coming here for ages. Best gifts. My last experience, my 50+ year old friend and I picked out some red wine. The 20+ year old cashier asked for our ID. We laughed and said we were flattered but I had forgotten my wallet and just had cash on me, and I didn't think to go home to get it as I never get carded. She proceeded to argue that there is no way we have purchased alcohol in WA state without being carded. My friend said he was flattered but hadn't been asked for ID for 20 years. He looks his pushing 60 age. We frequently purchase wine all over Spokane and at restaurants as we look at our 50s. The cashier instead of politely saying, it's our policy and not selling him the wine, insinuated my friend was a liar. And that we was making up stories. I am all for following your gut or policy. Do what you need to, maybe without calling customers liars or falsely accusing them of...
