This was the worst visit I've experienced here at this location, which is sad as it was only 8pm on. Thursday. The hostess didn't give us the special themed menu when she sat us. Get to our booth and it was crowded at all. It may have been about 5 or 6 families that were seated already. A few hadn't started eating yet. The waitress quickly took my drink order and returned. Once we got our food, I asked for warm syrup and ketchup. I was done with my eggs, bacon, and a little of hash browns were left along with my pancakes. It took her another 10-12 minutes to even realize she hadn't brought the items I asked for since she failed to come from the back area to even check on us. I couldn't even flag her down to remind her sooner because she stayed in the prep area until the next order was ready to come out. Once she realized she had forgot, she came to the table to say I have them making you some more hot pancakes. Mind you she still hadn't brought what we asked for. Needless to say I was ready to go. I will say the waitress did apologize for forgetting, my mood was already ruined. Of course there was no manager present to even speak with about my experience as I was not the only person not happy with the dining experience. Advice would be to have at least 2 people on the floor or train the hostess to help out when they...
Read moreI was fine-until I wasn't! I live locally in the neighborhood, so I have been here tons. But todays experience was like no other and it was very simple but yet very telling of the customer service here. Everything was normal-being seated, ordering, food came in a timely fashion. Server checked on us (was there my 9 y.o.)etc...when it came time to pay I gave cash (two $20 bills) the bill was $27.06 so my change should of been $12.94...it took a moment but when my server came back: Server (kinda smiling and giggling): "Do you really need your 94 cents back"? Me (kind of baffled by such a question): "Uh yes I do"???? Server (disappointed): "OH really, you do"??? Ok I get it there was an issue with change or making change, whatever...I was a Server for many years and never would have asked my customers that. If anything I would of given them the dollar if I didn't have the change or made them wait until I could make it and let THEM decide if they wanted to wait or just leave it and give it to me in my tip. Mind you I gave her a tip. I just thought that was odd and rude to ask your customer. THEN when I got home I decided to give the manager a Pro Tip in regards to the Server and was left on hold for over 18 min. Mind you when I left the restaurant it wasn't busy yet and I only live...
Read moreI took my father to this IHOP for father's day. The last time we went to IHOP was February 2020 right before COVID became famous. We both had steak and eggs. It was, by far, the worst meal I ever had there and I have been eating there since the mid 1990s. The steak was impossible to eat. When steak is tough, I just consider it beef jerky and eat it anyway.
As the saying goes, time heals all wounds so we decided to try again. Everything was fantastic. Both of us had Country Fried Steak and Eggs. Everyone puts too much salt in the country fried steak, but IHOP was closer to my salt level than any other recipe I have eaten. The eggs were perfect, the pancakes were excellent and the hash browns must have been cooked with bacon grease for the smoked flavor. I am somewhat allergic to pork and seafood thanks to my military service, but it didn't cause much of a reaction. Anyway, it was worth it.
Marina was helpful and polite and I tipped about 25%.
The $52 with tip for breakfast seems expensive, since I spend $100 for groceries, but it was worth it to enjoy a great breakfast with my dad on my...
