I want to make a post and display the way April does business. Iโll start by saying she is a good groomer but her business practices and the way she treats clients is what Iโm going to question. I have seen people post about her previously and she always responds with a very stern my way or the highway mentality.
Here is the situation, On Saturday they charged my card $300 for no call no show. I texted them and told them that I had texted them earlier in the week to cancel. I then picked up the phone to call them. The lady that answered said, I apologize but we have 4 people and a lot of text messages so sometimes we miss them. I explained that before you just charge my card at will , maybe you should double check just in case you missed one. She said, I apologized and refunded the money so no harm thank you. I started to say except you are holding my money for the time it takes to refund it. While I was saying that she hung up the phone. I tried to call back but they didnโt answer. Then I texted โHanging up on someone is one of the rudest things you can do specially if it's a long time good paying customer. I see how you value your loyal customersโ. After that I got a text message saying they didnโt hang up, the conversation was over and then they cancelled my remaining appointments. I called and left a message for April to give me a call. I posting the text message she sent me today. My point here is if you know you miss text messages and you know I am a reliable customer, maybe you should double check before you just charge someoneโs card. Also, If you read the text message here are a couple more points.
Yes, I have specific times I am available to have my dogs groomed. I am the customer. I was never demanding. I was just specific to the time frame. I gave her those times, we discussed appointments and she never had an issue scheduling. We always made appointments 2-3 months out at all times. She told me once that 8am wasnโt going to work and moved it to 9. I didnโt complain. Just adjusted. Now all of a sudden she claims I wasnโt flexible to her schedule. First April never said anything about our appointment times being inconvenient for her til now. Second, again I am the customer and if those times werenโt going to work for her then all she had to do was say so and I would have adjusted or found a different groomer. No, I didnโt take her availability into thought and honestly I shouldnโt have to. If the times I was available didnโt match her schedule then all she had to do was tell me she couldnโt do it. Price - April and I had a conversation about the price going up. Sure you raise the price, I can be a little disappointed because itโs expensive. I never rolled my eyes. Her and I had a conversation about it. I may have spoken my displeasure but I can chose to pay it or go elsewhere. The next month I came in, paid the charge, thanked her for taking care of my girls and left. No issue no confrontation.
Point here is anytime I was in the business, April and I always had a pleasant conversation. At no time did I ever raise my voice, cuss, get argumentative or even get mad and now all of a sudden my business isnโt good enough. Now all of a sudden I am such a bad customer she chooses not to do business with me and bring up issues that were never even issues. Well it must be nice to have such a strong business that you can just cut ties with anyone that is even slightly disappointed in something that happened. It was $75 for everything but I was willing to pay that because she had not been groomed for a while. My mom noticed she did not have her tags on her. I called Monday May 5th to inquire about the tags. The women on the phone was very rude. She said the tags are not here. I asked well then does that mean you threw them away? Because I know for sure she had them on when she got there. Oh she went off on me!!! Am I wrong for asking a question? I think she woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Professionalism was out of the window. I will be stopping bye when I get off work. And I wonโt be using them again!!!!

The lies here, so instead of being accountable for the situation a person wants to lie!!! Yes, I was told that the person was not there that day. I was placed on hold. The person came back to the phone. Said they did not it have them. I asked. So does that mean you threw them away? From there I was being yelled at. I was asked why I would ask that question. I said I can not ask a question!!! I also asked her if she was ok? Not one time was she cut off. And I asked her if she was ok twice!!! Instead of being an adult and taking accountability. Iโm being lied on. Wow. The tags are not even a big deal. But the lack of accountability is!!!! And itโs sad. I pray that this is a learning experience. P.S. The dog belongs to my mother, so I did not have anyone else pick up my dog!! THE OWNER DROPPED HER OFF STAYED THERE AND PICKED HER UP IN HER SCOOTER CHAIR!!! NOT A CAR.
