Against my better judgement and after reading the reviews ABOUT SOMEONE GETTING SHOT ON THIS PROPERTY(True Story) ON 10/15/2016 I SIGNED A LEASE WITH THESE UNPROFESSIONAL AND INCOMPETENT GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS!(BACK STORY): Stop by and viewed the apartments and spoke with a very nice lady Christine who took me on a tour of the property i was impressed NICE AND NEW(BUT HAD NO IDEA THIS PLACED HAD A DARK SIDE!) went back to the office got an application from her and told her i would be back with the required application and admin fees ($50 and $125) which i did the next day, that is the last time i spoke with Christine after this each time i called they would tell me Christine was out, then sick and finally was told she was no longer employed there, at this point i should have moved on with the little white lies i was being told(from Fernando,Casey, and the "Manager") of her[Christine] whereabouts but, I ignore the warning signs even the reviews of the SHOOTING OF THE PIZZA MAN (IT"S BEEN ON THE LOCAL NEWS AND ALL) I even called and asked about the REVIEWS and was told by CASEY that "the Shooting did happen" and SILLY ME!(MY FAULT BEFORE ANYONE ELSE SAYS IT) I STILL PROCEED so that you get the full story and to know NOT TO RENT HERE! I was told after sending in my pay statement and them running my credit(Not Embarrassed due to a layoff years ago some things got behind) I was told "there would be an approval with conditions and that instead of a $200 normal deposit it would be $400" So for clarity i asked Casey did she mean an extra $200?" She said "yes" i agreed understanding my credit situation explained above that this was reasonable and agreed again I continued on with the process(another sign to move on) So because i relocated here from another state my furniture is in storage awaiting my getting a place to be delivered (which i explained to Christine when touring the property the first day) I was told i had until Oct 31st to move in and get the deal offered of one month free and a check equivalent to one month of rent(sounded good) well based on the moving company i have it turns out my things wouldn't be here in Texas until around the end of this month, so according to this i did call and explained to this to Fernando and was told he would note this, soon after i received a call from Casey(who just took over) who told me in order to get what i was promised by Christine (of the Month and Check) that i needed to sign the lease by Oct 15th which i knew wasn't correct because i'd just seen it myself on the website, she told me she "had no idea where i got this from" I really felt strong armed but agreed to signed by the 15th, So the 15th was this past Saturday i get there and Fernando was there i sign my lease he gives me the keys and all i go on about my business because i have nothing really to move into the unit(because i don't lie) I'm at work Sunday afternoon and check my voicemail on a break and Casey has called and asked me to call her i call to find she's saying she noticed i came and got the keys and goes on to tell me that i owe another $200 that my deposit was $600(No lie this was the first time $600 had ever came out her mouth) and that there was an additional $400 to the normal $200 which was NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER TOLD TO ME! and i told her this because I'd have NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER have agreed to this for a deposit?! She went on with an attitude that no she explained this to me when i called (SHE DIDN"T!)I Simply told her i no longer wanted the unit that i'd bring the keys back today(Oct 17th) she tells me all this about how i will lose my money and that she'll let her manager know and let her handle this, well I've spoken to the "Manager" who tells me she's not giving my money and that i'll be breaking an agreement and that she'll give my $400 back but not my $125 Admin fees I'm talking rude talking over you this place is a total disaster! GROUP OF RENEGADES(NO PUNS) VERY THEY'RE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! NICE PROPERTY!...

Update-1-17-25 PLEASE READ!!!!!! I decided to write another update to a review that I posted in July 2024. I was notified two hours ago today 1/17/25 that the Pines of Wood Creek management left a response to my review. Their response took six months which shows just how concerned they are with the safety and well being of their residence . As of October 2024 I was no longer a resident at this horrible place but prior to me moving out, I reached out to them on numerous occasions about security issues and was not helped in any way.I would like to know, why after six months you would just leave a reply saying that I can reach out to you when I did that as a resident and didn’t receive help. Do not act like you are concerned with anyone’s well-being again when you reply to a message six months later.
The Pines of Woodcreek is not a place to live unless you want to walk outside and have your car sitting on four bricks due to the tires and rims have been stolen or if you want your tailgate stolen off your truck in broad daylight then this may be the place for you. Both of these events have happened to me within the past few months one just last week. Every week there is some poor person who walks out to a busted window or something missing off their vehicle or patio. My ring cam caught many things such a people walking in the parking lot with what looks like a weapon and on another video a guy pulling car door handles of vehicles. I have spoken to many neighbors who have experienced this and the sad part is a lot of it is because the gate never works and there is no security on site. I have brought this to the attention of management and they’ve even contacted the regional manager, both pretty much let me know even though the gates don’t work, it’s not their responsibility to make sure our property is safe within the gate. I have lived at this complex for four years, but when I tell you, the last few months have been a nightmare due to all of the crime, and the property hasn't been kept in months. I also had to live with mold in my unit, which I complained about several times. I only have a few months left in my lease, and I even asked if they could waive the termination fee due to I feel unsafe on this property and I was denied. (Update!!! I’ve moved🙌🏾)Going to the office does not help the situation. You are pretty much on your own. I wholeheartedly advise anyone who is looking to rent from this property to run like hell please!!!!!! Below are a few pics of my vehicle as well as fellow neighbors that had their windows busted out and someone else with their rims and tires stolen. Be safe out...
Read moreIf I can give no stars, I would, right down to the service. Before I applied I was told they had available apartments to view but when I arrived for the tour Mya Rodriguez acted as if we weren’t going back and forth in emails and stated there was no apartments available or none to show so I left. I was emailed later on that day about availability i knew then I shouldn’t have applied but I did anyway the rent was listed at 1506 but was raised 1556 because they lifted the price right after a storm tore a few of the roofs off. I applied July 7 turned in all documents and paid the fees and my application said submitted. Once I paid all communication stopped, I couldn’t get assistance from anyone in the office not even property management, they all had the same excuses. I kept asking what’s taking so long week after week nobody had any answers. They never processed my application and kept the same lie that I never submitted my check stubs which I had in screenshot form and a pdf form, they even verified my employment already but would not deny or approve my application. So I recently called and stated it’s been a month what’s the hold up Leslie stated I needed to send another check stub, the reason she told me sounded like a lie I didn’t entertain it. At this point this is bad for business I just wanted my money back for services I did not get and was not getting. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE APARTMENTS. They are too small for the price, office staff lies, don’t answer emails, or phones and lies and say they were busy. I actually walked in and watched the phones ring while they sit there. And still til this day they have not reached out, they clearly know they took money for something they had no plans on processing. Bottom line Leslie blamed all of it on Mya Govan, and stated she doesn’t work there anymore. What does that even have to do with processing my application and Leslie still have not reached out to say denied or approved I ended up filing a dispute with my bank because y’all are thieves. Everything was already submitted Leslie, clearly wanted to waste more of my time by asking for more check stubs when I provided 6 , 3 more than I was supposed to and she wanted me to send another one a month of you not processing the ones you have already, they have already verified everything I feel like I was discriminated against and they were looking for a way to deny the application. Do not...
