Best boba experience in North Houston! Visited: Friday, July 19, 2025 – around 3:30 PM
I stumbled upon The Bếp Teahouse – Westfield while driving through the area, and let me just say... what a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and the comforting smell of fresh tea and sweet toppings.
The space is small but super cozy, spotless clean, and has a chill, inviting vibe. They had soft music playing in the background, and a shelf with a few board games that made it feel like a perfect place to hang out—not just grab a drink and go.
I ordered their Jasmine Matcha Cream with boba (50% sugar) and my friend got the Fresh Kumquat Coconut Tea, which the staff kindly recommended. Honestly? Both drinks were mind-blowing. The matcha had a deep, earthy flavor with this velvety cream on top that balanced it beautifully. And the boba? Perfect texture—soft with just the right amount of chew.
What I loved even more was that the drinks weren’t overly sweet, which is rare these days. You could actually taste the real tea and not just sugar syrup. My friend even said, “This is the best boba I’ve had in Houston,” and she’s tried a LOT.
Service was 10/10. The young lady behind the counter was not only friendly but very patient in explaining the menu, making sure we got something we'd like. It was clear she cared about the quality and our experience.
Price-wise, it's super fair—$6 to $7 per drink with generous portions, and honestly worth every penny for the flavor and experience.
The only small downside? It was a little warm inside (probably because of the Houston heat), but it didn’t take away from how much we...
Read moreWhen we got the food, the baguette, which was supposed be stuffed with some sort of topping, was thrown on top of the bread. Further evidence of this is the 2 photos that I included, and ever though the photos are the best of quality, the are clear enough to see that there was no effort put into it. Also, they refused to pay us back due to their "policies", or in other words, just way to get money out of us. I would recommend you go to Tea Tonic rather than here. If you enjoy money, please don't go here. Edit: also there was some sort of plastic in one of the drinks, and since you want to justify the sloppiness of the food, how about you use some real meat instead of artificial meat, the fish balls and the crab ones both have an chewiness of the of calamari, a clear indicator that it is not real meat, because I know what fish and crab taste like, and that's nothing like it. Also, we made sure the food wasn't shaken up, so even if the stuff was supposed to be on top, that's doesn't give you the right to...
Read moreI’m a fan of The Bep and I’ve tried all of the other locations. I was so excited when this location open because it’s so close to my house. I got their drinks at their soft opening, grand opening, and I tried both their milk tea and fruit tea. Both times the drinks were so bland and lacked the sweetness. But since they were new, I decided to give them another try yesterday. The organic milk tea was good, but the fruit tea was lacking the sweetness again. Came back today to try the sakura milk tea and also got another fruit tea. The sakura milk tea has a strong flowery aroma that I loved. However, it was lacking the sweet taste again, so it tasted like milk mixed with water and ruined the drink. Same problem with the fruit tea. I never had any problems with the sweetness level at other The Bep locations. I was surprised that the owner didn’t ask for feedbacks during their soft opening. I hope they can see this and check their sweetness levels for...
