Night time manager covering the check out and self checkout registers is terribly rude and from my experience shopping at many many different Kroger locations she definitely has a completely different set of rules she follows once anyone higher up than her goes home for the night. Because apparently when you choose to use the self checkout when shopping for an instacart order you are not entitled to any of the employees to even consider offering you any kind of help in any way at all. Including the younger checkout manager girl who, even though I had a somewhat large instacart order and all the checkers could plainly see that I actually was having a little bit of difficulty scanning in all the items and the manager wasn't busy there were at that time before closing maybe four customers throughout the entire store and she could see my register kept stopping and requiring her to come over and enter her code because the conveyor belt kept getting too many items clogged up at the bagging area part and instead of maybe, you know possibly putting a few items into a bag or two she thought shoving them all over into a bigger pile in the corner at the bottom of the bagging area and then five or six more things come down and she has to come down it all over again while I can't continue until she restarts and shoves more items into tighter larger piles. I was cool with it all during all of this until I got shut down again and I glanced up and noticed all the checker ladies were just kinda chilling and joking around some with each other and pretty much doing nothing else except waiting for another customer to come get checked out. And the manager lady was on the other side by the smaller scanning self checkout part talking to another younger kid employee and just what looked like to me hanging, waiting for more people to start checking themselves out. So pretty much half joking I mentioned that "boy it would be nice if everyone wasn't so super busy right now and maybe help throw a few of these items into a bag or two lol. Has ha" thinking One of them would be more than happy to give a customer a hand while there wasn't any body else needing anything for a few minutes. And I was needing to wait for the managers code out in once again and she I guess decided I could wait while she finished up chatting so I started putting items into bags while I'm waiting and after I swear close to a little over a minute I just kind of started getting a little bit irritated as I glace around and the checkers are standing alone by their registers just waiting. And still nobody is coming over to even reset the scanner I'm shut down on and I stop and laugh out loud but basically to myself and pull out my phone and turn on the video to record and pan over my area and what it's like then around to the other register areas then around behind me to the other self checkout part and the manager notices this and I casually panned the rest of the way around myself back to my checkout spot and in maybe two seconds shes next to me kind of scowling and asks me " were you just taking pictures of me?" Not in a friendly voice either and I chuckle a little and look at her and tell her that "No ma'am, I was just making a quick video clip of how busy everyone is right now and how backed up my stuff is, so I can add it to my Google maps review of this store and casually continue putting items in the bags. And you know myself I would have realized about then if I were in her place that oh shoot. You know my bad I probably should have offered help or something to this customer. But no. She tells me that I was the one who decided to choose the self checkout and that it's not her job to bag my groceries and that if id wanted my stuff bagged for me maybe I should have gone to a regular checker. I'm usually pretty chill and don't normally get upset very easily but this time I started getting a little mad kind of and she tells me she didn't authorize her being recorded and to please delete the video. I stopped and just stared at her kind of...
Read moreI really like this Kroger location. The store layout is thoughtfully designed with wider aisles than most other Kroger stores I’ve been to, which makes shopping here feel much more peaceful and less cramped. It’s especially nice when the store is busy because you don’t feel crowded.
One thing I appreciate is their selection of organic products—they seem to carry a wider variety compared to other Kroger locations nearby, which makes it easier to find healthier options.
The self-checkout lines move quickly since they keep all the stations open, unlike other stores that often limit how many are available. This really speeds up the checkout process, and I rarely have to wait more than a minute or two.
I’ve never had any issues with management or customer service here. The employees are friendly and helpful, whether it’s finding a product or answering questions. The drink section is always fully stocked with a diverse range of beverages—from sodas and juices to sparkling water and specialty drinks—which is impressive.
The store is consistently clean and well-maintained, which adds to the overall pleasant shopping vibe. I actually enjoy going there at night before closing—there’s a calm atmosphere, and I can take my time without feeling rushed.
Overall, this Kroger feels like a step above many other locations I’ve visited, and it’s become my go-to spot for...
Read moreAs a long time Kroger customer, I have gotten increasingly disappointed in Kroger overall. Over the years I have spent 10's of thousands of dollars in your stores and recently have noticed a decline in your customer service. Forcing people to check out their own groceries when the prices of the labor are built into the prices of the groceries on your shelves has reached a boiling point for me. I watched as a 70+ year-old man had to check out his own basket-full of groceries this morning because there were no open lanes manned by a human being. Furthermore, I am constantly infuriated by the number of click list employees clogging up the isles at my local store and they have little regard for the people shopping for their own groceries. My concern is not your profit margin or your stockholder's share prices, it is my shopping experience and the value you place on me as a consumer. "Welcome Valued Customer" is what it says when I enter my Kroger card. I sure don't feel valued as I wait on click list shoppers to get out of the way and as I am checking out my own groceries in a store that gets plenty of volume, even at 7:00 a.m. to have a lane open for people who would like to feel valued. I will gladly drive by 10 Kroger location to shop at a grocery store that still values their customers and appreciates their business because right now it does not...
