One of the workers that was there was super nice, joked around and interacted with my kids. CONS! the complementary breakfast is a joke they didnt restock after stuff started running out. So we had to go across the street. We got there late friday night and we went to the room and notices the sheets had what looked like dry blood on them and one bed the blankets were shredded. And the fridge wasn't working so we went down stairs and I showed him all the pictures he gave me new sheets and said they had no more comforters but would sent someone up the next day to fix the beds and the fridge that wasn't working. I told him we were gonna be gone most of the day. We left at like 8am Saturday we returned about 7/8 and my kids wanted to go swim after being in the sun all.day so we went down and swam for a few and went back up and I had noticed the beds weren't fixed (with replaced blankets and the fridge was still not working so I went back down and let him know and he told me I needed to request them to do the beds. Even tho I did and it was agreed they would make it right in the morning he then came up to my room to look at the fridge at almost 10-11 and just agreed yea its not working and said I could use a fridge down stairs for the night since we were leaving the next morning i didnt bother. We had had food go bad friday night when it didnt work and we though it would be fixed by saturday evening so we broughtback left overs that went bad cause fridge still didnt work and we were gonna run up and down the stairs to use a fridge for a few hours.. When I turned in the key there was a sign that said Noone was at the desk and they would return in 15-20min. And we had somewhere to be and couldn't be late so we just left and then had a 3 hour drive home so I waited til we got home to call and talk to someone with expedia since we booked through them and they contacted the hotel and i was told since we stayed both nights they wouldn't give a refund. Again we didnt get there til late friday evening and was just given blankets to replace the nasty ones and was told they would make it right while we were gone Saturday it was late so I was giving them the chance while we were gone all day Saturday and by Saturday evening it still wasn't made right and by that time it was late and I had 2 younge kids and wasn't familiar with the area and wasn't gonna just leave at 10pm. So we just left Sunday morning and Noone was at the desk. But was told they couldn't refund anything or make it right cause we stayed. We were just there to swim a few hours a evening and sleep. But apparently they know how to hold you off and not make it right to keep your money. So I wouldn't give them chances just dont stay or just leave when there's issues cause the it was pretty nasty and they wont make it right and not...
Read morePlease don't stay at this hotel until major upgrades are made. I had a horrible experience. My mom and I checked in very late on April 1st/2nd. I was supposed to have a nonsmoking, wheelchair-accessible room with a king-sized bed. There was also supposed to be a mini fridge and a microwave oven. Neither of those were present. When we entered the room, we immediately noticed a very musty and moldy smell. I spoke to the hotel employee and explained that we could not stay in the room because my Mom and I have very bad allergies and that the smell was overwhelming. He offered to put us in a room on the second floor. That was not an option because my mom is in a wheelchair and the hotel didn't have an elevator. Finally, he gave me a key to a new room on the same floor. The lock on the door was broken. I went back to the front desk and told him the lock wasn’t working. He then put us in another room. To get to the room, we had to walk down a smoke and trashed-filled hallway. This room smelled better than the last, but there was still a musty, dirty smell. I believe it was coming from the carpet. Not only did the room smell bad, it looked bad. There were two holes that had been punched into each closet door. The toilet was slanted at angle which made it awkward when closing the door. The armoire/dresser had strips of wood torn off. There was a fridge but no microwave. When we finally lied down to sleep, the smell became unbearable. I slept with the covers over my head to block the smell. The next morning, I went to breakfast. The options were extremely limited. The slices of bread and the English muffins looked stale. There was a total of five apple muffins and one gallon of milk. The coffee cannisters were dirty. After seeing this, we decided to leave and get breakfast elsewhere. I informed the hotel employee that we were leaving hotel. Upon our departure, the employee handed me a receipt. They had charged us for the night plus a cancellation fee because we were booked for three nights and only stayed one. Obviously, we would've held up our end of the agreement, if they had carried theirs out as well. Needless to say, I called Choice Hotels’ customer service and they graciously offered me a refund for the...
Read moreThis place was truly a nightmare! My family and I were traveling to Ohio from Wisconsin to visit friends. We were too tired to drive back home that night (6 hour drive) and decided to get a hotel for a few hours to get sleep before heading home. The second we walked into the hotel it ‘‘twas a heavy smell of cigarettes. The check in guy was rude and dismissive. He card more about whatever was on his phone than the customer. Well it gets worst. We walk into the room and the first thing we notice is a strong smell of urine!! Then immediately to the left there was a huge hole in the wall. The bathroom was completely dirty and all the linen on the beds were WET!!! I went out to tell him out the concerns and condition of the room. He stated he would like to come and take a picture of the holes. He did that and then left out. When asked for another room he IGNORED ME and said well you can leave but you won’t get a refund. We were not checked in for even 20 minutes before we all left and checked out. I feel this is a rip off!! He did not care about the condition of the room or the inconvenience of a family with small children from another state just looking for a comfortable place to sleep to get home safely. I would not recommend this place for anyone. I took pictures of everything. I really wish I had a way to capture the wetness of the linens as well as the smell of pure URINE! This was a very difficult night for us and being so far from home, we had to drive hotel to hotel at 230-3 am to find somewhere who had a room although he still had us checked in at this hotel. I did receive a paper that stated we came and left the same day and when I called choice to complain she said he had us still in the room. I sent proof that we were checked in at a Hilton and was no longer there. Idk what the disconnect was and why he was so careless and dismissive, but we will never stay at any Quality Inn or any other associated hotel with them or choice ever again! I hope the 103 dollars was worth losing multiple customers. Our families has also supported not to support these facilities. LOOK...
