I am a watch collector, and custom modifier of watches. Today I walked in early morning, as soon as I stepped in the gentleman behind the counter visibly rolled his eyes, and gave a look to whomever was working in the back. He even struggled with returning my good morning greeting. I looked passed it, as it was 10 am and maybe he hadnāt had time to fully wake up. I explained I was looking for a specific Seiko 5 watch and had learned this establishment is an authorized dealer. The gentleman audibly scoffs and says āWe made a decision to not carry watches in store, but I guess I can get the catalog if you want...ā More condescending tones, and body language to say he didnāt want me in his store. I said āOk, I know they are available online, but I would rather give my money to a local brick and mortar shop.ā Instead of getting the catalog he just stands there, waits and awkward moment and then repeats himself. At this point Iām feeling less than welcome, less than human, and very embarrassed. So I go to excuse myself from this gentlemanās shop, explaining it is because he doesnāt seem very interested in doing business with me, I tell him I understand and go to leave. He then raises his voice at me, I tell him it is ok still calm; and he waves me out of his store and tells me I can leave. I am new to the area but not watch modification. My visit was more than just buying a watch I could get online in a minute or less. I was very interested in the catalog and establishing a business relationship with a local business like I had in the past were I moved from. Ordering factory parts is very important to my craft, but so is the relationship I establish with the business I am associated with. Many of my clients often ask for recommendations for other jewelry and services and I like to be associated with someone I can trust to send them to. For example stone settings in the custom pieces I make, let alone the constant monthly amount of money I would give them passively just because they had access to the catalog for parts. Iāve never been made to feel less than a person in a jewelry shop, this was a first. After reading the comments I wish I had dealt with one of the ladies in the store. But for now I am going to have to go elsewhere. It was never about the watch sir, it was about establishing a lasting relationship with a local brick and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can't express in words the level of care and service provided by MaryAnne and Todd at Futer Bros.!! They were helpful, friendly, efficient and caring every step of the way and really made my anniversary a great celebration. With little notice they were able to resize my band and order a replacement band for my wife within 22 hours before the trip and had both waiting for me ahead of schedule and looking better than new! When I returned from my trip and needed another adjustment they got right on it for me and not only had it done quickly, they reinforced the stone and polished it free of charge! I can't thank them enough for their hard work and can do attitude. Not once did MaryAnne try to upsell or push me into something more expensive, she listened and delivered exactly what I needed at a great price. From her first welcoming smile until everything was perfect, I knew she was committed to delivering exactly what I needed. I never ever leave reviews, but this level of service forced me say something. Bravo to Futer Bros for employing such amazing people! What a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had a very pleasant experience at Futer Bros. Jewelers. Our first visit we met David and Debbie to look at engagement rings I had found on their website. They are sweet and endearing people who provided a warm welcome when my boyfriend and I walked in. We knew after meeting these kind souls that we were going to get my engagement ring from them but we also feel strongly about supporting local business in our community. They were so cute and passionate about diamonds. We learned alot about diamonds which was so fun and interesting. They had to order the rings I picked from their website and when we returned there to see the rings we met two more employees who were also very sweet and attentive. My boyfriend purchased that beautiful vintage engagement ring and diamond. We feel amazing about supporting this great local jeweler because they deserve it. We are excited to pick up the engagement ring and we plan to get our wedding bands here as well. Thank you Futer Bros. for the wonderful endearing experience. We will recommend...
