Your response and your facts are incorrect and you are not addressing the problem. Yes, your assistant repairman (Dustin) came out to look at it and just shook his head and did nothing. He went out to his truck and called his boss (Sean). Other customers of yours were here working and witnessed everything I am telling you. Dustin returned inside and said Sean would be calling me within about an hour when he came in about 10:00. I have yet to hear from Sean. Your sales rep (LG)offered to send the Smith Bros rep to my house (I have the text she sent to me) if I agreed to take a 33% restocking fee. No transit fee was ever mentioned. I am still waiting on follow up clarification regarding the Smith Bros rep. I have continued to text the sales rep as she provided her cell number. I am requesting that meeting and clarification on her offer and she (LG) ignores me. She offered her number. I did not request it. I have owned a business for over 40 years and had hundreds of clients. I never had an unsatisfied one because I cared. You apparently do not care. I'm sorry that you think you can insult my intelligence and this will go away. I'm not going away. Read the first paragraph of Wayside's Guarantee of Satisfaction on the back of my contract. Apparently you didn't mean what you put in print.
2.27.25 - WAYSIDE FURNITURE owner wants a 33% restocking fee to return my defective expensive Smith Brothers sectional delivered to me 26 days ago on Feb 1, 2025, and sat on by one person only a total of 7 times. A $10K purchase. It’s literally losing its shape and falling apart from one person sitting on it. I have tried to call and left messages with humans, their customer service reps, salesperson, manager, owner etc. and not one person has returned my call. Terrible customer service. The repair man was too booked to come to my home and so they sent his assistant who promised the head repairman would call me back. It has been over a week. I'm really trying to avoid court and the BBB which is waiting on me to complete my formal complaint. Also called Smith Bros in Indiana. Also, no reply.

Read moreMy wife and I went to Wayside and although our normal sales staff Susan Myers was not working, Elizabeth Fischer greeted us and assisted us with a purchase Susan has previously been working with us on. Susan Myers has always been polite, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Elizabeth was no different she was helpful and a good fill in for Susan. Elizabeth was also polite, professional and helpful. Unfortunately, for the staff we did not arrive at the store until about 5:30pm and it closed at 6pm. The staff did not rush us to complete our transaction, still took the time to answer all of our questions, and made sure the item we were seeking would be the perfect fit for our home. We apologized several times to the Cashier Dawn for not completing our purchase until after 6pm. Dawn was extremely polite, professional, and told us there was no need to apologize for being there after 6pm she was more than willing to help us with our purchase. Dawn assisted in making the purchase and our time in the store another excellent experience with Wayside Furniture. Dawn went above and beyond to make sure that everything with our purchase was perfect, and she made the purchase experience even better, she went over our order in detail making sure everything was exactly correct. It was an absolute pleasure talking to and working with Dawn, Elizabeth, and Susan during this research and purchase experience. They all three made us feel like family and took an invested interest in making sure our needs and ideas for our needed furniture were met, they made us feel as they cared about our vision for our room and were happy to serve us. We just wanted to express our appreciation for these three ladies and for the excellent customer service. We have been customers of Wayside for years and will continue to shop with Wayside in the future because of valued experiences like this. Read morePurchased this set and 2 red leather recliners. I’ve had this set for 6 months now. About the couch. It’s fairly heavy - hard to move. It is 5 separate pieces in the grouping plus the large ottoman. The couch pieces separate during use and there are small gaps between them. I seem to always be pushing them back together. The delivery person told me there were some hooks to keep them together. I did not see any so I had them come back out - and there are no hooks or any way to attach the pieces. The couch is extremely deep. Removing the back pillows allows 2 people to sleep on it comfortably. In fact, I have fallen asleep on this couch many times. It is very well made. It is comfortable and roomy. The couch is well made, great fabric, and I would recommend it for a sturdy family room couch that can take a beating. The reclining chairs are petite. They are not as heavy and cushy as many recliners I’ve owned. We bought them for the smaller size and we love the color. To avoid eating or snacking on our new couch, we only eat or snack in the leather recliners. They are easy to clean. The mechanical components seem a bit flimsy- but they work fine and we have had no trouble. Overall we are happy with this purchase. I would not have ordered the pillows that came with the couch, but I did not want to wait for custom pillows. Ultimately I waited 12 weeks for NOT custom pillows. They are well made and sturdy. When I was looking at the set to buy the sales person and I discussed getting fabric protection. Somehow when I paid that discussion was never had. I did call back to inquire and was told I had to purchase the fabric protection it when I purchased the couch. Unfortunately we never have the conversation from when I decided to buy it until I paid. I feel that should’ve been a conversation before I paid. In that regard I feel they drop the ball.
