Gypsy Soul — Local services in Springfield

This store moves store destinations a lot. Pretty pricey but it’s a boutique and pretty good quality clothes. I wouldn’t call it a Gypsy/hippie/boho type store more like country chic. I feel a lot of the clothes are not the typical “in style” but I did find some cute things. Their sizes are really odd normally I’m a M but here I’m all over the place.

Unfortunately I felt they are extremely pushy on having you try on clothes and getting you buy things (even if it doesn’t look good on you). Like extremely pushy to the point it’s uncomfortable. They seriously follow you around the store (without masks).

Their Instagram Shows them barefoot, mask less, and trying on the clothes themselves instead of using a mannequin. Which right now during a pandemic is not safe. They also do not where masks in the store when you’re shopping which lets customers think “oh let’s also not wear a mask”.

I have 3/5 because I don’t like their hygiene during a pandemic it’s not safe and not comfortable to shop in the store knowing they aren’t wearing masks, they walk barefoot, and wear the clothes even if it’s just...

Looking for Magnolia Pearl these days is definitely becoming a “hunt,” as more and more women appreciate this artist’s whimsical wearable art, designs that allow for changes in bodily form over the life expectancy of garment and wearer, and apparel carefully sourced to guard against all the evil in the industry at large. In central Illinois, Gypsy Soul is a place to shop for this line, knowing that you will be in great hands of the owner and everyone who works there. Magnolia Pearl moves very quickly, so frequenting the shop helps. I was very disappointed in my first visit to this store. I felt like I was being followed literally the entire time. Treated rudely for normal shopping behaviors like having my sister stand near the dressing room to help me make a choice on a clothing item. While standing in line to literally pay for $90 dollars worth of merchandise I was accused of taking tags off of my items? No one else in the store was questioned, just me. I felt very uncomfortable the entire time.
