Harter House Supermarket — Local services in Springfield

I have tattoos I didn't know that that was a crime and I really didn't deserve to be judged today whenever I was just trying to buy stuff for stew so I go back and I get a bunch of frozen meat and vegetables and the guy asked me if I needed paper or plastic very rudely he then puts all of my stuff in one bag he did not double bag it and this is meat that's bleeding with my vegetables like he put everything together the lady takes my money and proceeds to hold it up and look at it through the light take a marker and stand there for about 5 minutes to see if the dollar changed colors I felt very belittled I felt very judged and I just really can't believe that I just experienced this whenever I was just shopping trying to get something for dinner all because I guess I have tattoos or I don't look like I belong on the South side I'm not sure but it was very very distasteful and unprofessional and needless to say I don't care how good the meat is I will never go back into this place. I'm very sorry that you people have it in your heart to judge other people and look down on them it's very saddening and it's very sickening to me it really is and I'm sorry that that's the way that you guys live...

I went to the Harter house on East sunshine yesterday around 8 PM and I went to the meat department to buy some pork chops And smoke pork shank and they were three young men cleaning up the scales closing duties . One of them looked at me didn’t greed me nor asked me if I needed any help I didn’t say anything to see how long it will take them to realize that there were two people standing in front of them it was a good five minutes before I was helped . then one of them realized well if the other two are not helping you I guess it’s gonna be my job to help you. I was highly and extremely disappointed that you will have employees like them in your store that are more concerned about cleaning the scales and talking to each other about personal business then doing their job because they are on your company clock. I hope this will be addressed with all of the employees and it will improve your customer service but right now I don’t think I should give you more...

My husband and I live in southwest Springfield and are actually closer to the one on Republic rd and the location in Nixa , but last night we were running errands and thought we would stop.and get our Thanksgiving meal ingredients #1 The location was well stocked especially on the items that are crucial to a successful Thanksgiving dinner. #2 The meat market employee was so helpful and polite. #3 Lastly the cashier was very cheerful and had a wonderful attitude. The carry out was polite and courteous he asked if we needed help with our groceries, we declined but he said thank you. This was definitely a 5.star visit and it maybe further to go but we will be back! Congratulations and good job! Signed two former retail employees who were highly impressed with the service...
