Join an online bank with no fees. We decided to leave the bank simply because there were too many fees, not a great amount of benefits, as well as poor functionality of the app. The app is not updated well and charges would randomly disappear and come back days later making the available balance incorrect. It's minimalistic and leaves much to be desired in banking. In the days leading up to closing our account, I assumed no charges would go through because of declining overdraft protection ( assuming was a mistake on my part). A charge went through, initiating a $35 overdraft fee. I called asking for it to be waived because it was a complete accident and we have never incurred an overdraft fee in the years we have been with them. I understand that they don't have to, but a courtesy would have been great considering it's a ridiculous fee and I brought cash in to cover what accidently went through causing it to go over. I was told that they couldn't refund it, and if I didn't bring that $35 in by 6pm tonight I would incur another $35 fee, and everyday thereafter that I didn't pay the first fee. These are the types of situations that are causing people to flood to online banks. Accidents happen, and had I not already decided to leave before this happened, I would have immediately closed my account.

I've banked with Mid Mo for about a year now after leaving Simons bank for their poor quality service and bank standards. But Mid Missouri has always been kind and considerate as well as flexible in meeting any problems I've had. Particularly Heather has gone ABOVE and beyond to be the best clerk I have ever had anywhere when banking. I had a mishap back in November that could have put me out 300 dollars with fees but because of her diligent work it was resolved. Once again, today she has been more than anyone could ask for. Being locked out of my banking app I was terrified of getting over draft fees when I couldn't transfer money over. So I emailed her over the weekend to explain my dilemma and before the bank even opened today, I received a call from her and my issues were resolved again.
