Maso Pizza Bar Restaurant — Restaurant in Springfield

I went here with my parents, my brother, and my daughter. Services and atmosphere was great, server was very friendly and helpful, and the owner even came to say hi to us. We ordered the baked chicken wings as an appetizer. They were just doused in this delicious bbq sauce and cooked perfectly. My dad and I ordered the steak soup, I just got a half order along with the wedge salad. The salad was great. My soup though was really too salty and didn’t have as much meat as when I’ve ordered it in the past. My mom split one of their pasta dishes with my daughter, and they both seemed to enjoy it, even with them having some left overs, my fiancé loved it too. My brother got the Al salumi sandwich, and by time I finished my salad it was gone.... The food I must say isn’t what it used to be partly because they recently replaced a majority of the menu with a pizza selection. I’m not the biggest fan of pizzas, and when they replaced some things I loved... I was the tiniest bit heart broken. The pizza toppings are really good quality and flavorful. I tried my aunts monica pizza. My cousin got thr bacon pinapple and liked it.The crust is ok but nothing special. Had the wedge half salad and it was huge. They did not skimp on the cheese and bacon. The bacon was good and not fatty like some places do ya. The lettuce quality was surprisingly good. Alot of places give you alot of the bad through out parts of the lettuce but here there was almost none of that. The dressing had a surprising kick that was really unique and good. I tried the meatball sub. Thats not something I would usually get but I've never been to any of the owners restaurants before and heard his meatballs were good. They were. The sandwich is well proportioned as to not have any one thing over power the flavor. The bread they used was really good. It wasn't too thick and had a little bit of greasyness to it as a good flavor. The chips that come with aren't from a bag but fresh. It had the perfect amount of salt and seasoning. First time visiting this restaurant. Ordered food 1 large pizza for our kids and 2 smaller pizzas for each of us. Server brings out food and puts on the table and grabs drink menu from center of the table as he’s doing this drops drink menu directly into our kids pizza. Absolutely no doubt this was an accident. And not enough of reason to give a bad review.

However how he handled this situation was far far worse. He apologized and tried to tell us it was fine. It’s was not. Then tried to tell us he had just wiped the drink menu down. Now he’s straight up lying to our faces, as if we are fools.

Twice I told him to get the manager and he kept trying to gas light us. I warned him I’m trying really hard not to get angry but you need to get him now. He still doesn’t listen until I stand up and suddenly he decides to go. Manager never comes either. He comes back with the receipt to pay for the beer she drank. I paid him and left. Never step foot in the place again. Ruined our dinner and disrespected us about it...
