I chose this restaurant because I saw a picture of the menu showing the pad Thai and other noodle dishes at 10 each. The hostess was very nice and let me sit wherever. When I got the menu I. Found out the prices were higher and I had been looking at the lunch menu before. So...oh well....I ordered the Pad Kee Mao, medium hot. It took a bit for the order to be delivered but was very good! I didn't have to add anything! I was going to have hot tea with my order but was surprised to find that there was a 3 dollar charge for that.. It was a first for me. Usually hot tea comes with your meal. So I skipped it. Over all, nice people, good Kee Mao, high prices. Won't be my first choice next time, but not bad.

I have tried their Eugene location before, but tonight it was simply too crowded there, so here we are in Springfield. No line whatsoever, which meant that we could go right in and start to devour some very awesome Thai food. This place indeed has a great menu selection and a warm, cozy, inviting atmosphere, and the food itself is truly excellent and reasonably priced (since I spent so much of the last 2 decades in LA, I think that I can ferret out good Thai food when I taste it). The location is also great if you are on the Springfield side of the world. We will most certainly be back here when the urge for Thai food hits again.

I'm visiting family members in Springfield, OR. A suggestion was made to eat at Ta Ran Rin, a Thai place tuck in the busiest town. Every family members have their favorite dish to eat. These are the dishes ordered. Mussaman chicken curry, tum yum soup pad Thai, Pad woon sen, sweet and sour fish, Thai BBQ spare ribs, and Thai BBQ Chicken. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I was not impressed with the tum yum. It didn't have the flavor I'm used in San Diego Thai food. Overall, the food is decent, the service is excellent. I rate this place 4.5 star out of 5. Good eats.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO EAT HERE READ THIS, ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM, (HEALTH RISK) I KNOW IT’S LONG, BUT I WOULD NOT TAKE THIS MUCH TIME OUT OF MY DAY TO WRITE IT IF MY EXPERIENCE WAS NOT A BIG DEAL My family, and friends have been going to this location for 5 years. The food was really good! Today will be my last time coming here, and after I tell my friends and family about my experience they will probably choose another restaurant as well. I Took my wife her for a late lunch around 2:30pm. We eat here a lot but it was Valentine’s Day, so I guess this was technically a “date”. The food was awful, both of our dishes were thrown together, and tasted bad! I ordered the Swimming Lady which is usually served on a bed of cabbage and other veggies. There was a few leaves of cabbage, chicken was over cooked, rice was crisp. My wife ordered the chicken curry. The dish was brought out wrong. Usually dish comes out separated. This time her curry all came out on (1) plate all mixed together. She tried it, took 2 bites, and then sent it back because it was awful as well. I told the waitress to please take both meals away, and that I would be happy to pay for the green tea we had drank, she said it would be no problem, and she would be right back. The waitress comes back with my check with the curry still for me to pay for it. I told them if you want me to pay for the dish then bring it back to my table so I can take a picture of it to add to my review. They said no they will just take it off the bill, because they knew it wasn’t right... My wife literally took 2 bites! Waitress comes back with new check for $3 for the tea. I tried to pay with my debit card, and then I was told that they would not except my debit card unless my total was more than $7... Well the total would have been over $40 if food was correct! I told them debit is only way for me to pay. During this discussion with the employees at the cash register, a woman that was eating walked over looking pretty intoxicated, and said “I will pay for your dish,” very sarcastically. Nice to know there are (3) women getting drunk around the time all of the schools get out for the day so they can drive home buzzed, and maybe run a kid over... Great job Ta Ra Rin for over serving your customers with alcohol so we can all deal with more people driving around intoxicated! Also our waitress had herpes all over her bottom lip that I noticed when I was talking to her about the check! Herpes is highly contagious and no one should be serving food with an outbreak of it! So gross, just imagine the people cooking the food! The Manager of course was not in, and seems to never be here! I wish Management would be at the restaurant so they can see what is going on there and address...

Great Thai but Handle Problems Poorly

They told me 30 minutes for my take out order. Then it took nearly 45 so I waited patiently. Turns out there was a new cook in the kitchen. That was annoying but understandable. Until what happened next. As I pulled into my driveway ten minutes after leaving I got a phone call asking me to come back because they had given me the wrong bag of food despite confirming my name. I drove back and returned it then left with my now lukewarm food after a few more minutes of waiting even though it was on the table. I asked but someone had to go check. Another lady in the lobby had been waiting a long time and was also getting irritated. All I got was a half-hearted sorry as they were already walking away after finally handing me the bag. No offer of a refund or gift card or something for ultimately wasting more than 30 extra minutes and a lot of driving. Staff was nice but definitely brushed me off and acted like it was no big deal. Does this happen often? That was my next thought. And were they giving him the food I had been driving around with? Something unsettling about that. It’s good Thai but not worth what I experienced. I’ll pay the high prices for good food and good service but not long waits with no respect for my time and mistakes without accountability. To top it off they take job applications online but have no company email or contact form for feedback so I guess this is the forum to...

EDIT: As you can see in the response to my review, the manager reached out to me and promptly offered an apology and a promise that she is helping their new staff understand how to modify and package orders correctly. A complete refund was offered, which will just be applied to another round of the food we love, made with extra care taken to be complete and correct. We're glad to be reassured by the general manager! ♥️ *END EDIT

Got takeout, and have done so many times before. They asked if my order looked right on the screen, and I said it didn't show the noodle substitution for the pad Thai. I asked if it was made correctly, she said she was pretty sure it was...

Spoiler alert: it wasn't, and I could almost swear they've changed the recipe for the pad Thai sauce because this doesn't taste at all like the dish I've suggested to so many people. They also forgot the rice for my wife's curry.

Enjoy the tip, guys. I don't think I can trust you to make my food correctly anymore. For the prices you're asking, it's incredible that service has slipped like this. It's literally the only reason I pay this much for your food, because it's usually fantastic, but now I'm worried you're getting by on the name instead of service.

I know Mr. B doesn't let people slip up like this, so I'm guessing he's not hearing any complaints. Maybe tonight's order was a fluke. Whether it was or not, I'm super...
