I want to share how beautiful and clean the place is. You are greeted and offered a drink. Everyone is so politely and give the WOW in customer service. They have a boutique of clothes and candles, decor is a beautiful rustic feel with barn doors on the window. It’s just a beautiful place to walk into. They were able to fit me in at the last minute and I was grateful for that. Abby, my hair dresser, an amazing spirit and just so professional.

So you ask, why 3 stars.

I was quoted $191 to have color, cut and curl with a deep condition which added $30 more to the price so total $221. No problem, I am good with the price.

Note: I make sure to ask for the cost beforehand because I was ripped off by a hairdresser when visiting North Carolina. After everything was completed I go to pay. Receptionist, “Ok, it is going to be $274”.

Excuse me, No, that’s not what I was quoted and that is not what I will pay. Now if they said, “Sorry let me get this corrected” or “Yes, we did miss quote” 5 stars, period. The professionalism and cleanliness and the fact they fitted me in….Yea that’s what I would have gave them

No, that didn’t happen, they politely try to point out why the extra cost was applied “Well if you need more color, etc. this is why the quote can change”. They seem to be shocked I made it clear I’m not paying that price, they had to talk with her and to give them a second. Nothing was mentioned during the session that there may be a higher cost which I would have been like “You should have told me before starting the process.” Well, nevertheless, that is the reason for the 3 stars review.

Now imagine, if I wasn’t the person I am. I don’t settle and give in to anyone, but many people do. I could only imagine how many people are being price gouged that is going there for the first time.

Just please get your price before starting the service so you won’t be charged $50 more than what the service is really going to cost. Thank you and I pray they will be more transparent about their cost and stick to it with...

I had a fairly easy request. I wanted full highlights. I wanted to stay $150 or under. The color she picked was only about a half shade lighter. I did not see the color she picked.. this was probably my fault for not asking what color she picked.. she showed me photos of hair models. It was the right level of highlights i was looking for.. The color on the model's hair was about right.. but my hair ended up way darker.. You can see a bit at the root, but not really much different at all. When I got home, my husband and best friend were like.. I thought you were getting highlights? Lol.. She quoted at $118. Then she was using a spray that I liked. She told me it was $13 I told her I would get it, along with a few other products. Well.. it was not $13. It was $44. There are no prices on any of the products. When I looked on Amazon, there was a 33% mark up on all of the products. When I get to the register, my $118 that was quoted suspiciously turned into $150. My exact to the penny max I wanted to spend.

My hair dresser was very nice, the scalp massage was wonderful, the atmosphere was great, the decor was beautiful. I really did feel pampered. I really did de-stress. I don't want it to appear that the place was awful. With that being said, when you quote a price on a hair style, you can't jack up the price to the absolute max budget given. Also, there was a huge difference between the product being $13 and end up being $44. This could have been avoided by simply having a price listed on the product, or a price list near the products.

Brittney took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted, and the results have been beyond amazing. I have also utilized other services at this salon. I have booked several full body massages and even had my wedding makeup done here! I couldn’t have been more pleased with the results. The massages have been exactly what I’ve needed—relaxing, soothing, and tailored to my needs. The therapist, Allison, really knew how to work out all the tension in my body. As for the wedding makeup, it was absolutely flawless. The artist, Dorothy, listened to exactly what I wanted and made me feel beautiful and confident on my big day. My makeup stayed perfect all day, and I got so many compliments! The staff at The Gallery is professional, friendly, and always makes me feel pampered. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for top-notch services...
