**I am editing my post without deleting the original review because I was upset at the time about them charging for the chips and salsa. 🥴☺ What was something very important to me now seems like I was being petty because it was during the start of the pandemic. Now that I got over my pettiness, I wanted to update my review to 5 stars because I truly enjoy eating here with my girls. I appreciate their customer service as well as their food. I truly recommend this place for those who enjoy eating Mexican food. 👍🏼💯
I am a firm believer in great customer service and although I can definitely say that during my repeat visits, all of the waitresses who served me have been very pleasant. However, recently I have been very cautious and weary about going out to eat because of the pandemic and this is one of my favorite places to eat because the tables are so spaced out. My disappointment, though it might not be a major issue to anyone, is that I recently found out that they started charging for the order of chips and salsa after the first order. I'm okay with prices changing because of the pandemic, but to charge for something as small as the chips and salsa was very disappointing to me. I drive about 20 minutes away just to eat there only to find out that they started charging for any orders of chips and salsa after the first order when I have several restaurants near me that I can go do, but choose not to go to because of tight sitting arrangements, and come to find out that they decided to charge because to my knowledge, the owner told the waitresses that she also pays for the chips (merchandise) and does not appreciate that people order them only to let them go to waste. I can truly understand that no one wants to see their hard earned money go to waste, but also know that people enjoy little things such as this appetizer as well. For this reason, I will no longer visit this...
Read moreNice Fresh take on Authentic Mexican. I had three tacos a la carte; my wife had the Queso Flameado.
I though the fajita steak taco and the al pastor taco were quite nice, the shrimp taco needed a little more love and was a bit dry. My wife really liked the Queso Flameado - reporting it had the perfect balance of meet and cheese - it was a little greasy but had an awesome flavor.
The most disappointing thing here is the menu - it is wonky and confusing. It all started when I asked for the Alhambres - and was told they didn't have it. I asked if they were out for the day and was told that no they no longer prepared the dish.. How hard is it to take it off you menu - or cover it up? On the a la carte tacos you could get it with rice and beans for an upcharge - but only if you ordered shrimp tacos. Huh? How does what's on my taco affect the cost of the beans and rice on my plate? Why not just offer the rice and beans as a standard upgrade at a fixed price if you order two or more tacos a la carte.
Several menu items had difficult to understand descriptions as well - and honestly the menu sections could be better divided. It's sad, because if you can wade your way through the menu the food here is actually worth it. Definitely above average.
I will also add that service was excellent and our waitress went out of her way to make our meal great - in spite of the fact the menu put things behind the eight ball from the get go.
The food was also a good value - both of us had lunch and a drink for a few cents shy of a twenty dollar bill - and the food was above average for that price in our opinion.
My wife and I agreed they earned somewhere between a 'B-' and a 'B'. They have the potential to be much better and they are worth your time to give them a try. In the end, they just need to realize that your menu should not make it harder for your patrons to order...
Read moreI wasn't going to do this but this is my third time ordering from this place and it's been horrible each time so here I am. The first time I came late at night around midnight and since they are 24 hours I was expecting it to be regular service. When I walked in nobody was there but it looked like there was a huge birthday party that had just got done because there was trash food and the place of junkie everywhere. None of the tables were cleaned and food was still left half eaten on the tables. I waited about 15 to 20 minutes by the bar and nobody came up to me or even said hello.. a few of the girls saw me but they were busy doing whatever they were doing and just ignored me...so of course I left. The second time I came and ordered a margarita and two tacos. The tacos were dry and the margarita tasted like a slushie w no tequila. I was never going to come back but the third time my job just so happened to order everybody plates from here and I didn't really have a choice so I ended up ordering the 3 piece quesabirrilla plate. When I grabbed my styrofoam to go box with my name on it I opened up to see styrofoam covered tacos from the bottom of my plate, it was burned open and the tacos looked cancerous.. I was scared to eat it. Being hungry and starving I went ahead and took a bite so I could leave yall this wonderful review. I should have known not to even eat one because I ended up getting sick but to began...the tacos were hard and I could taste the styrofoam going down my throat. They were dry and there was no queso in the taco there was nobody birria sauce and it tasted crazy. I ate one out of three and now I'm holding my stomach...I took a picture so you guys don't think I'm being dramatic. Brenda's come on guys you need to do better but I guess it doesn't matter because I won't be going back. Cancer covered dry...
