First of all, every time I go into the bookstore and ask for staff help, they are always either extremely rude and bothered by your need to help, or they don’t know what they are doing.
When it came to purchasing textbooks, I ended up receiving my textbooks two weeks late because ONE of three or four textbooks was on back order. Every time I called no one would answer, or the person who did would be too incompetent to locate any of my textbooks. I finally got my books but I had to pay for different formats after walking down during my lunch break during my 8 hour shift (as I work and go to school full time)
Now when it came to returning my textbooks, rentals were due on December 16th, but with the weather this year finals were pushed back to the 16th and 17th - thus extending the time I needed the book. Knowing this, I called the bookstore multiple times and couldn’t even get a staff member to answer the phone. I did not know you could mail rentals back in (which I wouldn’t even trust anyway considering mail carriers are so rough and these books are so expensive). I left multiple voicemails and the only response I get is days later to my email. This email looks like a spam so I look past it for the first few hours and then I decided to click on it to see - turns out it was Bill Keister basically telling me that there was nothing he would do and that I was being charged the full price for the books. He told me that I should have checked online to see that I could mail them - yes Bill I could have. But you and your staff could have done better considering how much you charge for literally everything in your store. this is extremely disappointing. I work hard to get to where I am and you literally scan kids...
Read moreIf I could give this a zero-star review, I would. First, please order from anywhere else before resorting to this place. Otherwise, you're just wasting your money and time, and you will not receive the textbook you ordered. This is unacceptable for an official bookstore on the campus of a well-funded state university.
I ordered a textbook - an e-book, at that. My access code (or any other way to access the e-book) did not come through after a week, so it was then that I began my attempts at contacting Customer Service. First, I went in-person to the Customer Service desk multiple times throughout the day to find no one working there. Then, I emailed Customer Service. I did not get any response, so I sent another email. Lastly, I called Customer Service multiple times, each time getting no response. I mean, this is an e-book I’m talking about here. If somehow the order could not be fulfilled, why wouldn't the store contact me? Instead, I am left $200 poorer and confused.
I decided to order the textbook from someplace else, and guess what? I got access less than an hour later. The book was cheaper there, too. Two weeks after that, this bookstore’s Customer Service finally got back to me. Thankfully they gave me a refund, though it took a few days after that. What is this? Do not order...
Read moreDont shop here unless youre really that desperate. Mail Order service phone number line is fake. You will never reach them by the phone if you have any problems with your order, so expect to go burn your gas and drive to the campus just to reach them for something as simple as canceling an order. I Made the mistake of ordering a textbook from here for the first time. My book was on back order, and first I was told it was "delayed" and should be shipped the very next day. Next thing you know, I get an email saying it's on back order and there's no telling when it'll be back in stock (which is not their fault I understand, but I just wish I was notified the right info that it wasnt in stock anymore instead of being told it was just "delayed" could be saved time looking elsewhere) I spent about a week in my class not knowing what the hell I'm learning because I was waiting for this book. I managed to find the book on eBay, so I decided to cancel my order with the book store. I spent like 5 days just trying to reach someone by phone but everytime I call, no one is ever available Finally managed to speak to a customer service agent to help me, and she didn't really know what she was doing but she helped anyway since the Mail Order people don't know how to pick up...
