Great experience buying furniture at Value City! I worked with Adam on finding a new sectional, accent chair, and area rug. Adam was incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeableā he knew the furniture well, and was great at quickly looking up available options in the system that best suited my needs and budget. Adam has a strong design sense, and was able to make thoughtful recommendations/give input about what pieces would look good together in my new space. He was a pleasure to work with, and never made me feel pressured with my time and/or to buy. After I decided what pieces I wanted, Adam really won my trust when he went out of his way to find the best possible pricing by testing out different coupon promos before I purchased. Most salespeople try hard to āup-sellā you and get you to spend the most money you can, but not Adam. He actually spent 15 minutes testing different codes to get me the best deal. I left feeling happy and confident that I bought great furniture at the best price Value City could offer. 100% would buy from VC again, and will definitely ask for Adam!
Update 1/7/22 (because Google wonāt let me leave a separate review!): I had a specific issue with wanting to remove the warranty program on the furniture I purchased from VC. I spoke with Cierra C. in Value City customer service, who was friendly, understanding, patient, and professional regarding my request. She told me sheād discuss my issue with her manager right away, validated my concerns, and told me I could expect to hear from her the following day. As promised, she called me the next day, and told me sheād been able to get me a full refund on my warranty policy after clearing it through management. In a world where amazing customer service is often hard to come by, Cierra really stands out! I ended up calling the store just to thank her personally for her outstanding service because I was so pleased/(surprised even?) by how easy and pleasant she made my customer service experience. A friendly, professional, understanding, and effective customer service team is what every store should have⦠and Cierra is ALL of those! Very happy with my purchases with VC, and with Adam and Cierra. Thank you!

We purchased two bed platforms from the Sterling Heights location and was told they would be delivered march 14 my birthday we prepared for the delivery after confirming delivery that day and threw our beds out after so much time passed we began to worry and called them they said they attempted delivery but no one answered the phone come to find out the sales person wrote the wrong number down. We were told they would see what they could do about a discount never received that call back. Our delivery was changed to March 19 they delivered one of the bed frames so we called and they said they canāt bring the second one until April 19 I asked why we were not informed of this and no one could tell me being that the second frame was for a child in the home we would not have purchased why would we be in our new bed while our child is on an air mattress more than likely will go get a refund and just go purchase a frame. This is not how business is done they took our money and we did not receive what was promised to us in return this was very unprofessionalā¦. Go somewhere else itās already expensive at least get what you paid for we didnāt š So now April 19 is days away I get a call from a very rude manager Ciera who needs a class course on communication and customer service. She stated that o well itās nothing they can do and itās the merchandisers fault. I did not do business with the merchandiser I did it with value city. Dear Value City Furniture,
Iām reaching out to share one of the most frustrating experiences Iāve ever had as a customer. I placed a furniture order nearly two months ago, and not only has my order still not been delivered, but Iāve also had to deal with repeated false promises and incredibly poor service ā especially from Manager Masum.
Masum gave me three different delivery dates, and each time the delivery was canceled without warning. No one ever called to inform me. I had to be the one to reach out again and again, only to be told to ājust wait.ā On April 5, 2025, the most recent promised delivery date, I stayed home all day expecting the furniture. Nothing came. No call. No update.
When I called the store again, I was hung up on. After that, I contacted corporate to file a formal complaint. I honestly canāt understand how a company this size allows this kind of service to continue.
To make matters worse, my children have been sleeping on the floor because of the delay. This isnāt just an inconvenience ā itās a real hardship for my family. I placed my trust in your company and was let down at every step.
Iām asking that you take this situation seriously. Manager Masum and his team should be held accountable for the way theyāve treated your customers. No one deserves to be ignored, misled, and left without answers for weeks on end.
Please review this issue and take the proper steps to make this right ā not just for me, but so this doesnāt happen to...
