First time at this establishment, stupendous experience. We ordered two #1s with a coke and a sprite. Instant 5 star rating due to the childhood favorite bendy plastic straws, made our visit that much better. The chicken was amazing and cooked very well, the breading was falling off a tad but we did have a 20 minute car ride, therefore we cannot blame the wonderful staff. The fries were nothing special but definitely a great compliment to the chicken. The ranch dressing was 10/10, the best we’ve ever had. The Uncle Joe’s signature sauce could not compare, but still an awesome dipping sauce. The Texas Toast is irrelevant, you go to Uncle Joe’s Chicken Fingers for the chicken! Super friendly staff, truly some of the kindest people we have encountered. They also had a drive thru window, which really just brought the experience all together. They let us take our time ordering, which was very sweet as we are slow. Thank you for amazing...
Read moreWas next door and realized I had forgotten to finish packing my lunch today. D'OH! Let's pop in and see what they got. Ordered the fish sandwich, cod is a choice but I went with catfish. Big piece of fish there! And seriously hot. Had to wait a few minutes before I could start eating. It was among the best fish sandwiches I've ever eaten. Crunchy outside, tender inside. Since I was trying to be a good boy (calorically), I skipped the fries & drink. My total was $8 plus tax. The menu isn't huge but covers quite a bit of ground with what is there. When I was there, I was the only one eating in. Plenty of take-out/delivery orders, though. I would like to see a spicy version of Uncle Joe's sauce. They have a mango habenero & a sriracha but that sauce specifically kicked up sounds great to me. I expect I'll try some of the others when I return to finish my business @ Midas later...
Read moreI dropped my car off at Belle Tire next door and decided to check out this place. And let me tell you, I'm so glad I did!
Joe, the owner greeted me with a smile and a willingness to serve. He's definitely proud of his hand breaded, never frozen chicken as well as his home made sauces. In my opinion, the house sauce is a rival of Zaxby's.
The chicken was tender and juicy with the perfect crunch to the breading. The fries were soft on the inside with a crisp exterior that made me sad when they were all gone. But the best surprise was when I unwrapped the corn cob that I'd substituted for the coleslaw. People, it came with a stick!! I didn't have to get my hands covered with the melted butter, though my chin was definitely dripping.
This is one of the best local food places that I've been to in a while, so if you're hungry stop in. You won't...
