Baymont by Wyndham Warren MI — Hotel in Warren

Started off nice.. General Manager was so nice he was super busy while helping me but kept apologizing. I understood and wasnt bothered by checking in toom almost 20 min. But room was not very clean, lots of hair in bathtub, noticeable large stains on bedding, ice build up in fridge just to name a couple things. Then my family went swimming there where tons of kids and not many adults. Maintenance man came in because no one except my family had their wrist bands on had every One without a band to get out. He was very mean and aggressive. After yelling at all of them he asked me if I knew how to read and pointed to a sign I did not see. I had a slurpee he told me throw it away or get out. As a business owner if one of my employees talked to a customer like that I would fire them. I felt insulated especially since he had a thick accent. Then my husband and I were in the hot tub and tons of unsupervised kids were in there as well splashing around swimming arguing yelling ages maybe 10 and under.. my husband went to the desk to aak about kids being in the hot tub, most hotels have age rules for hot tubs the lady at the desk just blew my husband off like it was no big deal. At 1 point i counted 2 adults besides me and 29 kids plus my 3 kids. How is that ok? They were out of control my 8 year old told me the kids needed a spanking because they use way to many bad words and act badly and my kids have never been spanked. Ive never been so angry that its ok for dozens of bad kids to be unsupervised screaming cussing but I had to throw my drink away. I have a nasty nerve disease and hot tubs help my body feel better we get the room and spend 132.00 on a room just for our kids to swim and me to sit in the hot tub. Made reservations for two a joining rooms and was given a price of 79.99 each room. Arrived and was told all joining rooms were taken and no we could not get the rooms for that price and had to pay $20 more for each room. I told her I have my confirmation # right here. No she could not do either she said. Finally she dropped it down to 84 for each room. Lol really only 6 bucks less it would of been the price the reservation line gave me! But what ever we take the rooms as we have 5 kids ages 4-11 with us. We get to our floor and the entire floor reeks of marijuana. Which really doesn't bother me but this is a family outing in a public Motel where marijuana is illegal. Not to mention I really don't want to smell that for hours upon hours when I have children with me. The chair in my room was ripped with the stuffing sticking out, the mattress on the bed was horrible an average sized person could roll over and be poked by them not to mention hear them springing around in there every time u moved. Then after midnight we had three separate incidences from Midnight to about 5 o'clock in the morning. Twice there was a couple screaming and yelling and repeatedly slamming their outer door. Then there was a large group of people basically partying in the hallway. Woke up in the morning it was a time change weekend unfortunately and we were 5 minutes late to breakfast with 5 children with us and they turned us away would not even let the children grab fruit or muffins that were not put away yet. Maybe it was just a crappy weekend as far as the patrons not behaving themselves. But I also feel the staff was extremely rude and not honoring my reservation was very uncalled for. Would not...

The room itself was okay. The pillows are nice and fluffy. However there were some nasty stains on the blankets. The temperature in the room is either freezing or roasting and the radiator is very loud. The curtains are sheer and you can not completely block out the parking lot lights which stay on all night. I hope you don’t have many electronics to plug in because outlets are hard to find. The coffee maker in the room was nice to have, but hard to find a place to plug in!||The breakfast was good. Cheese omelettes, sausage, bagels, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, juice, hot cocoa. ||The pool area was NASTY. Wet towels littered the floor everywhere. Someone’s hair weave was left on a table. The drinking fountain is disgusting with brown spots. The door to the bathroom in the pool area was broken and wouldn’t close. The floor in the bathroom was covered in wet toilet paper - and it was still there the next day! The pool water was so scummy and cloudy, you couldn’t even see the bottom of the pool. You’re supposed to need a key to access the pool but the door doesn’t close all the way so anyone can just walk right in. There’s a sign that says no children under 16 allowed in the hot tub, but at one point there were 7 children under the age of 10 in it. ||Last but certainly not least, is it constantly REEKS like marijuana everywhere. There were literally people rolling joints right outside the pool area. There was someone vaping inside by the pool. None of the rules are enforced. Won’t be staying...
