Since the majority of issues I had during my last visit with AMC were with concessions, I'll focus my review on that. There were three employees working the concession stand so my group and I didn't have to wait too long. The employee we had the privilege of being served by was a young man named Brandon. Simply put he was extremely rude and disrespectful. After serving the couple in front of us Brandon began to, for lack of a better term, flailing his right arm. We figured he was stretching his arm or something so my group and I continued to wait until we were called upon. Brandon then began jumping up and down while still flailing his arm; not morioning towards us, not even looking at us, just extending his right arm directly out to his side and then flailing it back behind his head while jumping in place. One of the other employees finally informed us of his intent by letting us know that Brandon was ready for the next customer. The employee also made an apologetic expression as if he was sorry for Brandon's behavior. No big deal, maybe Brandon is deaf. Nope just a jerk. What followed was probably one of the the rudest interactions with a service employee I have ever had. Knowing that my buckets were 4 days past I told Brandon that I would like to trade them in for new ones, like I have every year. "We don't have any." Okay, no big deal. I said that it was fine and asked if I could just use my old ones since AMC didn't have any yet. "No, it's 2020 and those are 2019." Thank you Captain Obvious! A simple, "I'm sorry sir, I can't do that." Would've been fine, but I guess he wanted to make sure that I understood just how much disdain he had for patrons. As if the disgusted look on his face during our whole interaction wasn't enough. At this point if I hadn't been with my group I would've just walked out, but we came for a movie, so we were going to see one. Brandon then asked if we had out tickets. I turned around and asked if I had missed the ticket box (not being sure since they haven't sold tickets from one for the longest time). "You get them here. What do you want?" Wow! Customer service at its best. He then asked me where we wanted to sit. This was a new change. He pointed to a screen in front of the register and told me to pick our seats. I tapped the screen and Brandon informed me, "It's not a touch screen. You tell me and I put it in." A little irritation at this is expected since I'm sure Brandon probably has to inform multiple customers every day of this. The issue was his continued disrespectful tone and attitude throughout whole our interaction. After paying, he mumbled out the auditorium number, gave us our items so we could begin preparing our concessions ourselves (I have never been a fan of this change.) There was no signage to let you know which movies were playing in which auditorium. Other than the screen being dirty the auditorium looked clean. One of the members of our party returned to the concession stand to grab few more items. They returned with a $20 burnt pretzel and some cinnamon/sugar pretzel bites that they stated didn't really have any cinnamon or sugar and were mostly just bread with served with a cup of frosting. I understand that people have bad days, but if you can't function in a customer service role, then get with your supervisor and have them find you a better suited position. The main point of this review is to make sure that management is aware of Brandon's behavior towards their (AMC's) patrons and hope that they can remedy this issue, not only for the patrons but for the other employees that...
Read more4 large drinks, 1 large popcorn and 1 candy $44.33 !!! Popcorn has been downsized. says "tub" on receipt....it was a med size bag. So they give you even less, but charge more. The gouging has gotten so out of hand that I will never buy another concession item from AMC ever again in my life. I was absolutely floored at the prices, and it was not worth it. Then to add insult, they hand you a paper straw which collapsed by the end of the movie. Half of the flavors were out in coke machine, butter dispensers not working. If I'm paying that much for concessions, you better up your game by MILES!! just chairs don't do it no more. I want bathroom attendants, and a bathroom that does not look like a rest station crack house. I want Chik-fi-la service with a " my pleasure" and a smile at ALL times. The prices were not worth the show. Even came from Cushing to see Spiderman with 5 family members. Should have gone to the Dunkin Theater in Cushing . Oh yea....but the seats were nice?! Lol That was the only positive experience other than the movie itself. Does not balance. If you're lucky!! You might be there on $12 beer night!! Lol ......I'm done. All in all, I expect it to be slightly over priced, because I understand how movie theaters make money. But the hand has overreached at AMC theaters. I didn't even go all out and just casually order for the family. I had to strategically order only a few things and it still cost me 2 steak dinners to buy 1 bag of popcorn, 4 drinks, and skittles. That does not seem to be family friendly at all. Guess I'll have to start doing things like I did when I was a younger going to the movies. Get my candy and sodas...
Read moreI recently went to watch a “Sinners” with some people here and we had multiple issues. The first time we attempted to watch the movie, we were sold the wrong showtime by the associate helping us, so we were put in another theater with another movie playing, so we didn’t even realize we were watching the wrong movie until after 30 minutes of previews and 10 minutes of the movie. We were denied a refund and only given “passes” for the mistake. We decided to attempt to watch the movie again with our passes a few days later. We got sat in our movie, and sat there with a black screen for 50 minutes before one of the other customers went out to talk to someone. The manager told the customer that they forgot about us and would play the movie ASAP. We sat there for another 15 minutes, just for them to come back into the theater and say there was a “projector malfunction” and that they could play the movie in another theater at a later time for us. It was already past 10pm, so I requested a refund instead so we could go somewhere else. They denied us a refund since we used the “passes,” but we only used the passes because they denied us a refund the first time they messed up. The worker told us there was nothing they could do but give us more passes. I am not one to leave reviews like this EVER because I know mistakes happen, but after reading other reviews, it seems like this is a common theme with other customers. Save your money and your time and drive to Edmond or Tulsa...
