My honest review for Best Buy ā Stillwater, Oklahoma, especially for international students:
Best Buy, as always, keeps up its name when it comes to electronics trusted, reliable, and organized across most locations. This Stillwater branch was no different when it came to professionalism and cleanliness.
But thereās something that always stays the same across stores and not in the best way. As someone who values hands-on experience before making a decision, I was disappointed to see that most of the mobile phones and headphones were hard-locked, making it almost impossible to view or hold them in a 360° view. You canāt really feel the comfort of the earbuds or headphones, or check out the design of a phone beyond a fixed front display which is very limiting, especially when youāre trying to compare between models.
Even the demo boards set up for trying out earphones were either powered off or not functional this was during working hours, not even close to store closing time. I did check with a store staff member, and they confirmed the demo setup wasnāt working at that time. For customers like us who walk in wanting to experience the sound quality before spending our limited savings, this really takes away from the excitement.
Now, on the positive side, Iāve always trusted Best Buy more than stores like Walmart when it comes to electronics because they focus more on the value and trust towards the customer. And of course, their product protection plans and warranties are always highlighted as a major bonus.
I recently learned about their Best Buy Totaltech Membership a subscription-based plan (around $150/year) that covers repairs and replacements for electronics purchased from Best Buy.
While that might work for families or professionals, for international students like me, this is just too heavy to afford every year. It would really help if Best Buy could consider student-friendly warranty plans or discounts on these subscriptions something thatās genuinely helpful and tailored for people like us who rely on them but have to be careful with every dollar spent.
Final Thought Iāll still visit Best Buy, but I really hope they consider improving the demo experience and offer better affordability options especially for students and budget buyers. That extra care would mean a lot.
We bought AirPods Pro2, beats Fit Pro, Apple Watch series 10 black and a Tagrus Laptop bag that evening..

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe information provided here is in comparison to the Quail Springs Best Buy in Oklahoma City.
First of all, this location is much easier to get in and out of. The Quail Springs location is basically nested in with the mall and all of the abismal traffic that you run into around Penn & Memorial. If you know, you know...
The staple electronics that average people go to Best Buy for are plentiful here, with an average array of options. The things that I noticed that sets this Best Buy apart from the others I've been to are thus:
The movies are spread out all over the store. They have a lot to choose from, including all the newest 4k UHD's and special releases. Great selection, very hard to shop on account of no dedicated "movie section".
The PC gaming area here as better than OKC. More options and more of the current items from all the big brands.
The photography section was terrible. Nothing on display, and what cameras this location did have were 5... 6... 7 years old. Nothing particularly current. If you're shopping for a camera as a gift, do not use Best Buy's selection as a guide for the photographer in your family. They had little-to-no accessories to speak of - bags, tripods, SD cards - almost nothing.
Overall, it's good. Much better drive than going to either OKC location. I was just disappointed in some of the lack of product and disorganization in the areas...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA complete failure of leadership in store and corporately. On September 3rd, my mother purchased a television that she saved money for nearly a year to be able to purchase. Less than 30 days after getting it connected, the television wouldn't turn on. Originally, Best Buy said they would replace it, then, mid conversation, decided that they didn't want to and sent her to the manufacturer. The manufacturer has cancelled on her multiple times without reason. The local store refuses to call her, or me, back (purchased on my best buy account). Regardless of the manufacturer, Best Buy has completely refused to stand behind the products that they sell and could care less about the person that their corporate policies allow them to hide behind. I've purchased tens of thousands of dollars of products from Best Buy over the last 20 years and I've purchased my last. In a time when people are hurting and need someone they can trust, this company has failed. Over a $600 television, they are willing tell a Senior Citizen to pound sand, send her to a manufacturer rabbit hole that they know will not assist her, wipe their hands of her and have the audacity to laugh at her situation when she calls to ask why they refuse to help. I will not purchase another item from this store and I hope you will take serious consideration...
