Cavender's Boot City — Local services in Stillwater

I am very disappointed with my experience at Cavender's. I went in to purchase a pair of boots for my son and a pair for myself. When we went into the store there were very few choices in our size. We looked at other sizes and choose the design and style we liked. I asked an employee in the store if they could order them in our size. I was told "we don't do that, you can go to the website and do that yourself".

When I ordered the boots from the website the fraud protection on my card declined the charge. That was taken care of and the order was placed. The website charged my card one price then canceled the transaction. They then made two additional charges for different amounts to my card. I later received the boots I ordered and a few days later received a second identical order. I returned the second order and later received a refund to my card. I was charged three different prices for the same order and when I received the refund to my card it was considerably lower than any of the charges Cavender's made to my card.

I went to put the boots on I received and they still had the theft prevention device attached to the boots. I had to take them to the store and get it removed.

We tried to handle this with customer service two times. Both times placed on hold and phone number left for a return call that was never received.

Don't ever buy children's boots from here. On my daughters 4th time wearing them, she walked in the snow and now her boots are dried and permanently stained. I've owned multiple pairs and never had that issue. I called to ask for a return or exchange and the manager said no. She stated that children's boots can NOT get wet like adults can because they are not made with the same material (which was not mentioned anywhere on the tag or box). I then asked to exchange them for a higher quality boot that CAN get wet (as outside use is why I bought them to begin with) and that I would pay the difference in price. She said nothing that has been worn (even once) can be returned or exchanged even if it is damaged. Went to the store in Stillwater needed a pair of work boots bought a pair of timberlands which I have owned several pair of but these were a different style than what I normally wear thought no problem these boots have a 30 day comfort guarantee!!!! Nope not at cavenders of stillwater they told me I would have to send the boots back to timberland myself so now I'm the proud owner of a $190 pair of boots that hurt my feet which keep in mind were only worn for 10 hrs and was told they do not uphold timberlands 30 day comfort guarantee!!!! This was my first and last time ever purchasing a pair of boots...
