Key West Coastal Charters — Local services in Stock Island

We had a great time with Amy on our charter. She offers a great mix of activities on her charter which is fantastic (none of the others offer this a la carte experience btw). She is very knowledgeable about the area and with all of her certifications and being a nurse, we knew we would be in far better hands than one of those large group charters that are offered.

Snorkeling: Being a family of 4 where 3/4 of us sink like stones, it was awesome that we had super stable floats to use while lazing around looking at fish and the reef; It made for a far less stressful time.

Sandbar: We thoroughly enjoyed the sandbar visit and wish we would have chosen that over the snorkel in the long run. That’s ok though. That just means we’ll have to make our way back to the keys and take another of her charters snaps finger

Fishing: she openly admits this isn’t a big game fishing expedition and while we didn’t catch anything massive, she really knew what she was talking about with fishing and given the right environment, you could catch something massive if time permitted.. we just had a shorter cruise and wanted to snorkel.

All in all, we should have..

1. booked the morning 6 hour tour.
2. skipped the snorkel and done the sandbar

An Unforgettable Sandbar Adventure with Captain Amy! Our recent sandbar tour with Key West Charters and Captain Amy was nothing short of exceptional! From start to finish, every aspect of our excursion exceeded our expectations, leaving us with cherished memories and a strong desire to return.

Captain Amy proved to be an absolute expert, navigating the intricate Key West waterways with impressive skill and confidence. We visited several breathtakingly beautiful sandbar locations, each offering its own unique charm and stunning views. Her knowledge of the area is truly remarkable.

What set this tour apart was Captain Amy's passion and extensive knowledge, which she eagerly shared with our group. She provided a wealth of fascinating information regarding the diverse sea life, local bird species, and unique vegetation we encountered. It was an incredibly educational experience that deepened our appreciation for Key West's natural beauty.

The boat itself was perfectly suited for our group of six adults – comfortable and impeccably clean. It was evident that all the equipment was meticulously maintained, ensuring a safe and enjoyable journey.

Captain Amy is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and kind. She didn't have lots of reviews to go on like the bigger companies do, but based on the back and forth communication we had prior to booking, with my annoying questions, she seemed like she was just the personal touch we were looking for. She has extensive knowledge about the waters surrounding the keys. We wanted to see dolphins, snorkel live reefs and actually see fish (!!), and see what a sand bar is like in person. Amy did her homework and new exactly where the best conditions were for snorkeling that day. She somehow knows how to find a needle in a haystack. We went to two reefs, including one with a shipwreck. Saw tons of fish! Came up real close to dolphins in THEIR environment, and then finished off with a sandbar. That's a whole other level of adventure: you're basically walking in the middle of the ocean. It was absolutely incredible.
