Coral Hammock Resort Villas — Hotel in Stock Island

Very nice townhomes with a beautiful pool area in a gated community. The setting is almost perfect except for 2 things... 1. There are roosters everywhere on the property (I counted 5) and they will wake you up in the morning. Their crowing is non-stop. I don't know that you will have any better luck with this anywhere else on the island though as the roosters are everywhere. 2. There is a Navy air base very close by. You will see and hear Navy jets flying around, taking off and landing. It is ear splitting loud and annoying as hell. Great place. Lots of space. Only a mile outside of Key West so you are close to everything without being right on top of the nightlife if that's not your thing. The owner of the house we stayed in was very responsive to a failed A/C unit, had a repairman out within an hour of speaking to her and everything was fix by the time we got back from out daily activities. Comfortable lodging. Nice clubhouse and pool. Very clean. Only reason its not 5 would be that its a bit pricey and its about a 4 mile walk to the places in key west that tourists want to see. If you drive into keywest, parking is a premium at $16-40 per day. I would recommend renting bikes if you are healthy enough. We had a family of 8 and really enjoyed ourselves.
