This EMGCY is such a gem. I brought my poor sick hubby here Saturday. They provide IMMEDIATE attn. He was being cld back b4 I even sat down from the reg desk. They’re polite and thorough. He’s on the mend now. Visit and aftercare instrx are very clear and they confirm understanding before you leave. You can update your info right there on-site, they’ll even reset your MyChart login (in case u 4got). Parking is plentiful and convenient, plus they’re open 24hrs. Wow!

I had been sick for 4 days. I had a fever, cough, body aches, weakness etc. The day of going to the ER I passed out while making breakfast. After arriving at the ER it took 2.5 hours to be seen. I explained to them that I'm on a medication that compromises my immune system which makes any illness dangerous for me. I only weigh 100 pounds. Finally they took me back. It was a non private room. Within minutes they brought a woman in my room who was coughing up a lung. I was coughing very little. I'm already sick enough I don't need what she has. I asked an aid if I could be moved into a private room due to my fear of catching whatever plague this woman had. They never moved me. I laid there with a mask on and my sweatshirt over my face. I actually cried. The nurse came in an hour later and said I tested positive for influenza A and that's why they didn't move me. What the heck does that mean? They had no idea what that woman had because they hadn't tested her yet. I left before her tests came back. So basically because I have influenza A they think I should be subjected to more contagious illnesses. This woman they forced on me coughed non stop. I'm very frail, I can't handle another illness on top of this one. I should have been protected. I assure you if i were their sister or mother they would have put me in a private room. They would never subject an already sick family member to another possibly deadly virus. They cared nothing about my wellbeing. Half the employees including the doctor had the compassion of a fly. Seriously Western Reserve is right around the corner, I'll never go back here. A word of advice, if you have a patient coughing continually maybe put THEM in a private room, certainly you don't stick them in a room with an immunocompromised...

came here about four times in a span of five days about two years ago for extreme abdominal pain and cyclical vomiting. they brushed me off and said I had cannabis hyperemesis syndrome while not once bothering to do a food test to ensure I could hold food down before releasing me. They repeatedly gave me droperidol for nausea even though I'd explicitly said not to, as it's a sedative that gives me a bad reaction. The nurses mocked me and told me to be quiet when I was crying in pain. It turns out I have an autoimmune disease that is attacking my digestive tract. I would've found this out two years ago if they had just done afood test and kept me when I was unable to keep food down. I am traumatized by the medical neglect and negligence that I experienced, I almost died because I couldn't hold liquids down for weeks and they still sent me home the fifth time I went back two weeks after initially going to the ER. & For reference, the ER had less than 5 patients in it all five times I went. It wasn't that the nurses were busy, or wait times were long, they just straight up did not seem to care that I was deathly ill. or did not believe me. My test results showed abnormal results all five times, those were ignored. They told me my tests were normal. My WBC and RBC were higher than they've ever been in my life, not to mention indicators that my liver and kidneys were inflamed. I firmly believe that if I'd gotten proper treatment two years ago, I wouldn't have permanent & severe...

I used to love this place and the way I was treated here. Amanda (my nurse) was short, cold, and rude with me. She misplaced my IV then threw a half folded (cold) sheet onto me. When I tried to raise concerns about the non-stop pain of the IV she dismissed me and practically ran out of the room. She then ripped the curtain and SLAMMED THE DOOR so hard that it flew backward re-opening itself. Then she just left?? I could understand this behavior if I had been rude or difficult to work with, but I was extremely kind (and toward the end, afraid) the entire time. I ended up in tears wondering what I had done. I’ve never been treated so horribly before.

Amanda, I don’t know what happened to upset you today but I had nothing to do with it. I really hope you take a trip to a psychologist/therapist so that you can heal from whatever upset you so badly that made you feel the need and the right to frighten your patients. Maybe some professional development will help you to be more palatable and understanding. Please look inside of yourself and try to diagnose what’s wrong with you first in order to better serve your patients. I understand that this profession is not always sunshine and rainbows but we all have to grow up and do our...
